221 | What doesscripture sayabout relationship | James 4:4 | WalkingTalkingBible | 143792
Hi, mabeth Some Scripture on relationships that hinder our walk with God: James 4:4b ". . .whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God." Psalm 1:1 "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful." Luke 14:26 "If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple (which means that no one/nothing should come before God in the life of the believer)." 222 | Is fellowship and relatiosip the same? | James 4:4 | WalkingTalkingBible | 143982
Hi mabeth, fellowship (spiritual) and relationship (carnal) are a little bit alike in that both involve interacting with one another. However, fellowship (spiritual) is much more than just being with other true believers. The Greek word for fellowship is koinonia and it means partnership, communion, joint participation, and intimacy (not sexual). 1 Corinthians 1:9 says, "God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord." (Also, see 1 John 1:3, 6-7) Surely, we are not to have the type of relationship with Christ where we are just "hanging out" with Him. Also, we are to be much more involved with each other as members of the body of Christ, as we are told to love one another as Jesus has loved us (John 13:34). This love is a supernatural love in that the only way we can love each other the way God wants is to have His Spirit dwelling within. Fellowshipping with one antoher is (should be) very rewarding to our spiritual growth and walk with God. Good question! WalkingTalkingBible |

223 | What are we to do? | James 5:14 | WalkingTalkingBible | 125023
What should a Christian do when faced with sicknesses and infirmities? Knowing that we are tested with trials and tribulations, but God doesn't cause sickness on us, neither does He allow the enemy to touch us like Job. WalkingTalkingBible |

224 | What's really going on? | James 5:14 | WalkingTalkingBible | 125053
Now I want to ask another question: What is going on when one has been delivered from a sickness or infirmity and it keeps coming back? WalkingTalkingBible |

226 | Did Jesus go to Hell after the crucifixi | 1 Pet 3:18 | WalkingTalkingBible | 119753
"For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." (Matthew 12:40) Some may think this was the grave, but Jonah didn't lay in a grave for three days and three nights. This is what Jonah had to say, "And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice." (Jonah 2:2) Jesus wasn't condemned to Hell, like someone who dies unsaved, He went to "fill all things" (Ephesians 4:10b). 1 Peter 3:19 is one verse that shows what Jesus did while He was there. Also, see Ephesians 4:8-10. WalkingTalkingBible |

227 | Everyone who loves is of God?? | 1 John 5:12 | WalkingTalkingBible | 133709
Hi LibertyBelle, perhaps this person needs to take a look at what true love is. I had people to tell me that everyone who 'believes' in God is saved. The only thing was that these people were living all kinds of ways, practicing sin and saying they were saved because they believed. When I got the full understanding of believe (to commit to, to trust, to accept), I understood that they really did not believe. You will find, as I did, that most people love in word, just like they believe in word. But their lives tell us something different. In John 14:21 Jesus says, "He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him." This is not the same love someone has for a parent, child, or spouse. This is a sacrificial, supernatural love, an unconditional one. Most people think they are in love, until that 'special one' becomes unattractive or undesirable, or until they get mad. True love, as Christ demonstrated, is putting another's best interest before you at all times, and being willing to suffer for the sake of others' well being - no matter the circumstances. 1 John 5:3 says, "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous." Love is not out of obligation, either. It is pure. Love is described further in 1 Corinthians 13 (another word for love is charity): "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity." This love only comes by submitting to the will of God and letting Him have His way! WalkingTalkingBible |

228 | Jesus had skin of bronze, hair of sheeps | Rev 1:14 | WalkingTalkingBible | 118227
In Revelation 1:11-16 Jesus is described (verse 14 says "white as wool"). However, these descriptions are symbolic to power, purity, glory, and judgment, not race or nationality. WalkingTalkingBible |

229 | description appear in the old testament | Rev 1:14 | WalkingTalkingBible | 118263
Nothing describing His race or nationality. All we know is that Jesus was Jewish. I agree totally with Rowdy's response. Titus 3:9 (KJV) says, "But avoid foolish questions, and GENEALOGIES, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain." I understand that knowing Jesus' race is worthless to our salvation and His love. WalkingTalkingBible |

231 | WTB, Where do you see 144K is the church | Rev 14:1 | WalkingTalkingBible | 138434
Hi, I see the 144K in Revelation 14 as the Church because: v.3 - these souls are the "redeemed from the earth." Redemption came only after the Gospel (death, burial, and resurrection of Christ), which is the foundation of the Church Age/Grace Dispensation. v.4 - these souls are "virgins" meaning that these are ones that avoid spiritual adultery, false and seducing doctrines, and anything else that oppose the Gospel. I see this as a statement to describe the Church because, although the Jews had the Law breakers and idolatry to deal with, the Church gravely deals with false religions, false doctrines, and heresies. Not to participate in these - staying spiritually pure - at a time when many are compromising the Gospel, is to be a virgin spiritually. v.4 also states that "they follow the Lamb withersoever He goeth" meaning that these souls are lead by the Word and His spirit. It is in the Church age where souls are lead by Jesus Christ Who is the Word, which is spirit and life (John 6:63). I don't believe that the 144K is a concrete number (like there will only be 144K Jews going to God's everlasting Kingdom). I believe it is a reference to God's number system (for example, like 7 is the number for perfection?). I don't know the number system that well, but I know that each number has its own significance to the Kingdom of God. Thanks for your response, WalkingTalkingBible |

232 | WTB, Where do you see 144K is the church | Rev 14:1 | WalkingTalkingBible | 138440
Hi Steve, in the OT, redemption was according to obedience of the rule in each dispensation. For example, in the dispensation of Conscience, souls were responsible for knowing the difference between right and wrong. In the dispensation of Law, they were responsible for obeying the Law. But redemption by the blood of the Lamb, was not in the OT. Mount Zion is typical figure of the Church (Obadiah 1:17; Isaiah 2; Psalm 2). If you look at verse 4 in the natural sense, then wouldn't this mean that the 144K were only men who were virgins? What about men who defile themselves with men, are they part of the 144K since they didn't defile themselves with women? I have to look at this verse as speaking of spiritual purity because natural virginity without Christ as Savior is worthless. Thanks for your response, WalkingTalkingBible |
