22 | is dating right in gods eyes | Bible general Archive 2 | WalkingTalkingBible | 119258
My brother just got married on the 17th of this month to a beautiful woman of God. When he came to Christ a year ago, he came with a broken heart. He told me that he wanted a wife, a real woman to love him. I told him that since he was saved now that God would like for him to have a saved wife and to ask God for a wife (as opposed to searching in the world for one). Five months later, my brother says that God told him who his wife was. One of the young evangelist also became very interested in my brother and later she told me that God had spoken to her and said that this guy was her husband (she didn't even know that he was my brother). They began dating and in one year, they are now married. I think the most important thing is to wait on God. Also, as Rowdy advised, stick to Christians. God says in 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel (unbeliever)? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." Since the Bible doesn't deal with dating directly, we have to know our God. He wants us to trust Him for everything and He wants to be first in our lives. If the motive for dating is to find a soul mate, then I would advise you to ask and wait on God because He wants you to be happy and He will prepare you for your mate and prepare your mate for you. If you are dating someone who God has sent you, then you're getting to know each other. "Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD." Proverbs 18:22 I hope this helps. WalkingTalkingBible |

28 | marriage annulment | Bible general Archive 2 | WalkingTalkingBible | 121125
Hi, Biblegrlx, a marriage annulment is a legal annuling or making void of a marriage between a husband and a wife who have not consummated their marriage. I don't know what is "legal" in some churches today (seems like everything), but God's Word says in Matthew 19:3-6, 9: "The Pharisees also came unto Him, tempting Him, and saying unto Him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? And He answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that He which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain (two) shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain (two), but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery." 29 | How do you define cult? | Bible general Archive 2 | WalkingTalkingBible | 121767
Psalms 8:4 and Hebrews 2:7 speak of humans. Hebrews 2:9 speaks of Jesus (that's why he says, "but Jesus"). "A little lower" because He manifested in the flesh like man - for the purpose of putting sin to death. 1 Timothy 3:16 says, "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." Jesus is God. Now as a woman of God concerned for your soul, I wouldn't advise you to look in Webster's Dictionary for a Godly definition, you are only going to get a carnal definition. For a better understanding of the Word of God, I would first advise you to ask God to fill you with the Holy Ghost (He will teach you all things - John 14:26), use a reference such as a concordance and an approved commentary, in addition to sound teaching in a truth teaching church (ask and God will direct you to one). The only time "goddess" is used in the Bible is to refer to pagan worship, which is against God. I'm only telling you all of this because denying a part of God is denying Him completely. 30 | Can a man be with another man | Bible general Archive 2 | WalkingTalkingBible | 121972
Hi, Towanda. God has given every human on this earth his/her own free will which means that the things we do, the lives we live are according to the choices we make. However, someone who has chosen Christ as Savior and has chosen to do the will of God, chooses the things of God via guidance of the Holy Ghost. A man can be with another man, but this is not of God. Leviticus 20:13 (Amplified Version) says, "If a man lies with a male as if he were a woman, both men have committed an offense (something perverse, unnatural, abhorrent, and detestable); they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." According to Leviticus 18:22, homosexuality is an abomination to God: "You shall not lie with a man as with a woman; it is an abomination." This is not just an Old Testament teaching. It is written in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, "Do you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived (misled): neither the impure and immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in homosexuality, Nor cheats (swindlers and thieves), nor greedy graspers, nor drunkards, nor foulmouthed revilers and slanderers, nor extortioners and robbers will inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God." Can a man? Yes, he does what he will to please his lustful desires. Should a man? No, it's against God. The same goes for women who participate in homosexuality. Does this answer your question? 31 | can a baby sin | Bible general Archive 2 | WalkingTalkingBible | 122179

33 | can a baby sin | Bible general Archive 2 | WalkingTalkingBible | 122378
In addition to the verses Norm has given, I'll give James 4:17 again. A baby sins, but is not accountable because he is incapable of knowing right from wrong. Someone who knows to do right is accountable. Babies have to be taught and disciplined to know right from wrong. Just like when one is newly converted, or born again, he has to be taught, trained, chastised to know how to live according to the word of God. However, just because one doesn't know it is sin doesn't take away from the fact that it is sin. WalkingTalkingBible |

34 | Determining when an answer is received | Bible general Archive 2 | WalkingTalkingBible | 122851
Hi, Aba, along with the responses that EdB and Angel have given, I would say that it is important to wait patiently for God to answer. "Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass." Psalm 37:7 Also, what we ask for must be in the will of God (I'm not saying that you're asking for something outside of God's will). "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:" 1 John 5:14 Remember that the promises that God has for us already exists. We have to be prepared to receive them. Check out the children of Israel, they were promised the land flowing with milk and honey, but they could not receive that promise in their current condition. That's why they were in the wilderness for forty years - for preparation. So, be encouraged that whatever you've asked of God, He's preparing you to receive it. While you're waiting, ask God to examine you, to see if you're possessing something (spiritually or naturally) that may be hindering your blessing. Do not doubt! Stand, steadfastly, on the Word of God. "For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord." James 1:6b-7 Finally, thank Him because by faith, you know it's done. If doubt comes to mind, thank Him. If you get weary while waiting on your answer, thank Him, in all things, give thanks. This will keep you in faith and from doubting. WalkingTalkingBible |

37 | can a baby sin | Bible general Archive 2 | WalkingTalkingBible | 123202
Adam and Eve were accountable. Nowhere in the Bible does God say that Adam (or Eve) were incompetent. Do you think He told them not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil just so He can "set them up?" They were not babies! Anyway, for you to say that they were not accountable is saying that the entire Bible is a lie (I don't think you want to go that route). WalkingTalkingBible |

38 | jehovahs witnesses | Bible general Archive 2 | WalkingTalkingBible | 124719
"He that cometh to God must believe that He is. . ." Hebrews 11:6 Hi, pcdarcan, can I ask you - Do all good and moral people go to Heaven (God's everlasting Kingdom)? Jehovah's Witness and followers are called a cult because the religion is based on a god and not God. Their beliefs are based on a bible and not the Bible (the Living Word - God). Throughout the Word of God (Old and New Testaments) is God as the Creator (Father), God as the Word (Son), and God as the Holy Spirit (1 Timothy 3:16). The leader of the Jehovah's Witness religion made God the way He could understand Him. God is not a word, He is His Word - which is Jesus. The Holy Spirit is not a force - He is God in spirit. The Living God is a Holy Trinity - one God, three manifestations - not separate. I've had the opportunity to talk with some Jehovah Witness members and they are nice people when they talk to you - I agree about that - but there's no anointing. I also work with some J.W.'s and some of their lifestyles are as those that don't believe. The only way members are added is to present themselves in this matter and only someone who doesn't know God will follow. I don't say this to put you down because before I believed, I didn't know God either. I know that if more Christians would witness and let the Light shine in their lives, more souls would be added to God's real Kingdom. But face it, the unsaved is not looking for truth, they're looking for something to make them feel good. They want to be told that they can do what they want and still go to Heaven (God's everlasting Kingdom). But I have to tell you that only the believing (those who KNOW God and believe in all of Him and not just what they want) will be in God's Kingdom. The J.W. religion (I won't be disrespectful and say cult) and it's doctrine teaches of an idol god and not the Living God. "Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." Matthew 7:21 WalkingTalkingBible |

Reposting Justme's post which he aksed no be responded to so it would stay up. PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER THIS, I AM POSTING IT AS A PRAYER REQUEST. I would like it to stay for a awhile please.:-) I have many large blood clots in my right leg, that have gone to both lungs. This is a critical and dangerous condition. The prognosis is grim from a medical stand point. The doctors are amazed I am not in great pain and I can breath with good oxygen saturation. Everyone is stumped as to how I have made it thus far. The next 90 days either will take me home to be with the Lord or I will begin to improve. I request specifically that you to pray for me to be in the Father's direct will for my life, and for my family. Blessings to all the Forum for you have been a rich blessing in my life! I am at peace, and rest in Jesus Christ. I have known Jesus Christ as Lord from the age of 9. My favorite Scripture is Psalm 139. justme (Mike) |

40 | Things people THINK in the BIBLE but not | Bible general Archive 2 | WalkingTalkingBible | 126711
Hi, to fully understand this, you have to know who Christ was - God in the flesh. Now it can be understood that the very nature of God is sinless meaning that He cannot sin. The statement that TheFinalSQL made is correct - it is nowhere in Christ's nature to sin as opposed to man. James 1:13b says, "for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:" Romans 8:3: ". . . God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh. . ." meaning He came in the form of a man (remember, we were made in His image and likeness), not in a sinful form. He had no ability to sin.
