323 | Need questions on Noah answered! | Gen 10:21 | Norrie | 79125
My mil is doing a study on Noah and she has some questioned that we're wondering about now. Any answers would be appreciated. Gen 5:32 Noah was 500 when he had his 3 sons, they were triplets? How old was Noah when he built the ark? How long did it take him? We figure 100 yrs at the most since he was 600 when flood began. Did he have help building the ark? He could have hired people, just because they think you're crazy doesn't mean they won't take your money. If he did start when he was 500, his kids were just babies so they would have had to grow up enough to help, they would have at least been teenagers it seems. Noah didn't have any other kids or it just doesn't say because they were corrupt too and had to be destroyed? If his sons were 100 when the flood came, they didn't have any kids or they were corrupt and had to be destroyed? I guess most of these questions are speculation and we'll just have to wait till weget to Heaven and ask but if you have studied and know, please let me know. Thanks! Norrie |

324 | Explanation of all the races? | Gen 10:32 | Norrie | 54655
Let's say that Japhet is the father of European nations, that would have been long before Abraham, then even further down to 12 tribes, then the Lost Tribes. I've read where people are claiming that England is decended from lost tribe of Israel, the Queen, etc. come from them. Wouldn't that be a bunch of bull? How can they trace people like that anyway? I can see where the Jews that stayed in one locale basically could have kept up w/things, that's how Jesus' geneology came thru but ones since then are missing too, aren't they? Then ones from before that went all over, how would anybody keep up w/them? Joseph and Mary had other kids, isn't there a geneology somewhere on them or what not?
325 | Explanation of all the races? | Gen 10:32 | Norrie | 54725
I have a friend who listens to King's Chapel and send all this info on 10 Tribes and England, the queen being descended from them. I usually just delete them when she sends them tho. They believe too many far out stuff to even take seriously what they may happened to have right. :)
326 | Was it wrong to send Hagar away? | Gen 21:14 | Norrie | 10483
What was wrong to begin with was Sarah telling Hagar to become her substitute which is what they did in those days. So when Hagar, the maid, had a baby by Abraham, she started lording it over Sarah, her mistress, and this nat caused problems. This was def a case of 2 women not being able to share the same house. From what I read, it was the bread and water that was on her shoulder, Ishmael was prob about 14 or 15 so he should have carried it for his mama. :) Gen 17:25 said that when Abraham was 99, Ishmael was 13, this was a few yrs later. Anyway, Abraham did talk this over with God first before he kicked her out and God said yes and blessed Hagar and Ishmael anyway. So I'd say yes, Abraham was justified in his actions. |

330 | John8:24 and John8:57-58 | Ex 3:14 | Norrie | 68950
The ways the Jews referred to God was I Am so when Jesus said He was I am, they knew exactly what He meant. This was how God referred to himself in burning bush. Jesus is God, he wasn't born, He always existed. He came to earth as a human and was thus born a human but He always existed as God.
331 | John8:24 and John8:57-58 | Ex 3:14 | Norrie | 69035

332 | Must Christians keep the Sabbath today? | Ex 20:8 | Norrie | 14976
Keeping the Sabbath is the only commandment not mentioned again in the NT. Are you a Messianic Jew? Do you mind answering some Jew questions, like what is the difference in Jews? I have a friend that says Jews are only from the tribe of Judah so not all Jews are really Jews. Then there are the Zionists, etc. She says the Zionists are the ones like the movie moguls who are the liberals starting all the contraversy, there are more Zionists than Jews in Israel, etc. What is the real story or do you know? It might be too confusing for anyone to straighten out. :) I mean, if the Jews that are in Israel are really Zionists (which accd to her are troublemakers), then are the Israel prophecies valid today or not as far as Israel being a nation? I get lost on all this. :) |

Ed, in regards to the argument about the law in the OT, what about these passages: Matthew 5 Christ Fulfills the Law 17 "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. If He is not destroying the law, wouldn't that mean the law is still in effect? |

335 | Should we be using company computers? | Ex 20:15 | Norrie | 15285
I guess it would ok on breaks and lunch time. :) But someone shouldn't be neglecting their jobs for it-might end up getting fired. Besides, it wouldn't be right.
336 | When is abortion right? | Ex 21:23 | Norrie | 74957
I recently got the video by Pam Stenzel called "Sex has a Price Tag" for my daughter even tho she's way too young to be thinking of sex herself, I just wanted her to have the facts so she never would. Apparently Pam's existance in this world is a result of her 15 yr old mother being raped. Back then, abortion was permissible in rape cases but her mom had her and gave her up for adoption. So if her mother had an abortion, we wouldn't have Pam going around to schools informing kids of why they should wait. That tape was very informative. Accd to most schools and shows, you should practice safe sex in order to prevent pregnancy and Aids. Accd to Pam, there are so many more reasons, I had no idea about all the diseases out there that penicillin can't cure, you get it for life or causes stirility, I guess that's why there's so many taking fertility drugs. This is an excellent video for to show kids the problems of sex. I recommend it highly. OUR PROMOTION OF THE STENZEL VIDEO IS A GREAT FIT FOR OUR MINISTRY CONCERN. THE IMPACT OF THE MEDIA UPON OUR CHILDREN MAKES THEM SO VULNERABLE. STENZEL'S MESSAGE MINISTERS. ORDERS CONTINUE EVERY DAY. Help us do all we can to build into our youth wisdom regarding sexual things. Order the Pam Stenzel video today. [THERE IS ALSO A PUBLIC SCHOOL VERSION AVAILABLE ON REQUEST] We don't take credit card orders. Mail us a check, cash or money order for 20.00 and we'll send one to you asap. It's a powerful video tape of Pam Stenzel presenting before a group of Christian high schoolers in California. Stenzel worked in a pregnancy crisis center for 9 years. She lovingly tells the story of the damage done by unbiblical sexuality. (fornication, sex before marriage) She also shares of God's great love. Our address is below. 337 | When is abortion right? | Ex 21:23 | Norrie | 74959
Pam also told a story about a 20 yr old who had an abortion at 18 wks where the doc went in w.tongs to rip the baby apart. Apparently while ripping, he ripped part of her bowel, she was rushed to hosp for emergency hysterectomy and now has to go to bathroom in a bag for the rest of her life besides being sterile. Yeah, abortions are safe...
