2741 | When is this reign? | Rev 19:14 | Mommapbs | 44031
Greetings Steve! WHEN does this reign take place is my question, during the 1000 years or in Eternity? What are your thoughts? Mommapbs
2742 | When is this reign? | Rev 19:14 | Mommapbs | 44074
Can you suport this with Scripture? Thanks - Mommapbs
2743 | When is this reign? | Rev 19:14 | Mommapbs | 44076
Addendum Steve: indeed there is reigning on the earth during the 1000 year period but look at Rev 20:4-5. It seems that it is the Tribulation Saints (those who died in CHrist after the Rpature of the Church) who do the reigning with Jesus. How do we arrive at the Church returning to earth for the 1000 year period?
2744 | When is this reign? | Rev 19:14 | Mommapbs | 44285
"I saw thrones and people sitting on them had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those had not worshipped the beast . . . They came to life again and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. This is the first resurrection." Rev 20:4-5 Greetings Steve! The first question I have is WHO are the people sitting on thrones? (I'll have to research this one a bit!) Another thought: is judging the same as reigning? From this reference, it appears (to me) that these who are reigning with Christ are those who came to Christ during the Great Tribulation. I do not see these believers as identified as the Bride or the Church. This is my opinion, and I too am open to correction. Mommapbs PS: So perhaps I learned to ride horses in vain ???? (Please bear with my feeble attempt at humor here!) |

2745 | When is this reign? | Rev 19:14 | Mommapbs | 44291
Rev. 19:14 - "And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses." About this riding thing Steve, how can we equate the armies of heaven with the saints of God? (Great Tribulation saints or raptured believers) Mommapbs |

2746 | MARK OF THE BEAST? | Rev 20:4 | Mommapbs | 108488
Timothy Paul in post # 65746 states: "My advice is to not spend time wondering what the mark may look like, but spend sincere effort in avoiding having the mark affixed to your own flesh, and this can be done only, in my view, by trusting in Jesus as He promises to protect us" As I consider the passages concerning the "mark" I am wondering if perhaps we are taking this far too literally. The forehead might sugest our thinking process - what takes priority in our minds is most often what we set our hands to do! Frankly, I think the magnetic stip on our credit cards poses a threat to our personal privacy as much as anything else these days! And what about the implanted chips that people are using to store medical or other personal information? Just like dogs, we will be able to identify and track all human beings within a short while - indeed it is a new world - one that is not brave at all. mommapbs |

2747 | WHO are the "nations?" | Rev 20:8 | Mommapbs | 45605
After reading the previous thread on this verse I still have a question about the "nations." Since this event follows the thousand year reign of Jesus Christ on the earth, WHO are these "nations?" WHO survived the great wrath of God and the great battle decribed in Rev 19:17-21? Let's identify WHO is on the earth during Christ's reign, can we reason that the "nations" of Rev 20:8 come from these? WHO has the capacity to choose to rebel against Christ at this point in time? Certainly not the resurrected saints (Rev 20:4-6)! So who is left? |

2748 | Armegeddon question? | Rev 20:8 | Mommapbs | 45678
Greetings again jme! It seems we disagree about the battle of Armegeddon and it's timing. You described the battle of Armegeddon as "Gods war against all False religon and people not wanting to do God's will." Where do you see this in God's Word? You wrote: God always provides a means of escape to the people worshiping him with sprit and thruth. ( shown by history) Some will survie Armageddon" Where do you see this? "and many from all the nations of people that have died will be ressureccted into that 1000 year rein." Please support this statement!"These (those resurrected?)will not have been tested so the Bible says that many will fail this test." Are you saying that the battle of Armegeddon precedes the 1000 year reign of Christ? We may have some controversy here. Which is this battle described in Rev. 20:7-10 After this final battle, all will be resurrected to stand before the Throne of God for their final judgment.(Rev 20:11-15) Mommapbs |

2750 | Which war is this? | Rev 20:8 | Mommapbs | 47200
Greetings farout! I don't think you are "farout" by the way. I enjoyed reading about you too! I completely agree that we should really study God's Word. I guess this is what prompts me to ask my questions! NOW, how about answering my question? Blessing in Jesus to You! Mommapbs |

2751 | The differnece between Hell and Hades? | Rev 20:14 | Mommapbs | 32127
Do a "quick search" on hell and hades and you will find some excellent answers! The "second death" is the reality of "hell" that we should be concerned about as believers. ". . . it is appointed for man to die once and then comes judgment" (Hebrews 9:27) This judgment will be according to the records in Heaven, "And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." Rev 20:15 The "second death" is eternal separation from God! How unimaginable, and horrifying - the very thought of this neverending fate awaiting those who reject Jesus should serve as an instrument of encouragement to the believer who is charged with spreading the good news of God's Grace while it is still "today!" Blessings! Mommapbs |

2752 | Perfected bodies | Rev 20:15 | Mommapbs | 198842
Greetings Cheri - check out Rev 21:5 - God says that He is making all things new (not all new things). This comes after those whose names are not found in the book of life are thrown into the lake of fire - the second death - eternal separation from God. Also from Jesus teaching on sin in Mt 18:8 "If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; it is better for you to enter life crippled or lame, than to have two hands or two feet and be cast into the eternal fire." It appears that unbeliever's bodies are "fixed." The "impaired" believer has the promised hope of restoration! I hope this helps. Blessings, mommapbs |

2753 | Perfected bodies | Rev 20:15 | Mommapbs | 198845
Cheri - another thing that struck me was the passage in Genesis after the fall of man. See Gen 3:22-24. Man, spoiled by sin, was not to live forever. . . but if anyone is IN CHRIST - he/she is a "new creature!" 2 Cor 5:17 mommapbs |
||||||
2754 | Perfected bodies | Rev 20:15 | Mommapbs | 198854
Hi Cheri - the important thing is that we are IN Christ, no one is really more "in the know" than that! With Jesus' love - mommapbs
2755 | Eternal Kingdom of Heaven on Earth | Rev 21:1 | Mommapbs | 68145
Greetings soulbliss! We should not confuse the millenial reign of Christ (See Rev 20:3)upon His return to the earth after the tribulation (prior to the last judgment) with the eternal kingdom! See also Rev 21:5 Hope this answers your question! Blessings, mommapbs |

2756 | What type of death is the 2nd death? | Rev 21:8 | Mommapbs | 24998
Toto: Sorry to jump is so late, but I just went to a class today where part of this was discussed! As others have written, the 2nd death is the death of the soul, the part of man that has the potential to be in a love relationship with God. (Lost in Eden) Without the regeneration of the Holy Spirit, upon physical death, man's soul passes into eternity apart from God. Until the white throne judgement, these lost souls wait in the side of Hades or Sheol called "torments." (See the story of Lazarus and the rich man in Luke 16.) If anyone's name was not found in the Lamb's Book (Rev. 21:27)of Life, they were thrown into the Lake of Fire, (and death and Hades were also thrown in) this is the second death - God's final judgement on sin resulting in eternal separation from God. (see Rev. 20) Think of a "black hole" from which nothing can escape. Utter darkness awaits those who reject the salvation God offers in Christ. Too often, we don't comprehend the horrific fate that awaits those who are "lost." I pray that God would raise our level of concern for those who don't know Jesus. We have one life, this side of eternity, to choose where we will spend it when we die! |

2757 | LIERS WILL NOT INHERIT,OR SEE KINGDOM OF | Rev 21:8 | Mommapbs | 109980
Greetings chickers. See also 1 Cor 6:9 - "the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God" The key word is unrighteous. We (believers) inherit the kingdom of God because of Christ's righteousness which God imputes upon us! Phil 3:9 Why do you ask this? mommapbs |

2758 | Temple and No Temple? | Rev 21:22 | Mommapbs | 62211
Throughout the Revelation of Jesus Christ there are many references to the Temple of God. Why will there be no need for a Temple in the New Jerusalem? How is the presence of God different here?
2759 | Temple and No Temple? | Rev 21:22 | Mommapbs | 62247
Greetings Ed, no it's not a trick question. As I read through the other verses that mentioned God's Temple, I wondered about the purpose of the Temple in Heaven. I also wondered about how the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb ARE the Temple. Perhaps I am beint too literal in my approach, but isn't a Temple a place of worship, a place of meeting with God? Does this suggest then that we will need no place of meeting in the New Jerusalem? What about worship in the New Jerusalem? Comments? Thanks, I really do appreciate your reply! Mommapbs PS: I'm really excited that this is my REAL HOME! |

2760 | Temple and No Temple? | Rev 21:22 | Mommapbs | 62262
Gretings Emmaus! What you have written is kind of my very limited understanding of this subject. I can understand that the Heavenly Temple is "re-created" in various events throughout Scripture, and yes, the reality that we as the Temple of the Holy Spirit is also significant to me. How amazing it will be when the very Temple that we long to look into is in our very midst. I still ponder these mysteries, don't know if other's minds think on such abstract subjects, but this is how God often speaks to my soul, inviting me to "come close." I don't pretend to even have a glimpse of that glory that will be revealed in us, yet I know that it is what God has promised and what we are to long for! I'd take those titles gladly! Thanks for responding. Blessings, Mommapbs |
