21 | explain tithes acording to malachai 3:10 | Mal 3:10 | Elice Fox | 55576
hi Johnny, thanks for being so persistant in your question about tithes.years ago when I first became saved, MaL 3:10 fascinated me. the church I belonged to then stressed and taught about tithing. I was paying my tithes on net profit I made and could just barely make it. so one day was listening to Kenneth Copeland on tv. and he said for along time he too was paying his tithes on his net income and spirit of God spoke to him to pay on the gross amount. his ministry at the time was in financial trouble and he did so and got out of financial debt. so I decided to do the same not only because he gave me an example, but because I love the Lord. your local church could not function lights paid etc if it was not for the tithes of its members.I would not tell you to do something I would not do, I to went to class about tithing. so my church gave out a book last year and here is the title so you can research it for yourself. " Tithing" God's Financial Plan. by Dr Norman Robertson.P.O.Box 3330 Matthews N.C. 28106 telephone # 1-888-676-6733. ISBN 0-620-10675-1. it has only 64 pages and you will love it. did not mean to offend you. so keep on being persistant the answer will come into your heart. God bless you.

28 | Heaven is our home. | Mark | Elice Fox | 61882
we cannot look at heaven in our human perspective. (Mark 12:24) JESUS replied to the religious leaders (Sadducces), "Your trouble is that you don't know the Scriptures, and don't know the power of God. Jesus said that not only were the Sadducces ignorant of Scripture, but they didn't understand the power of God. Heaven is far beyond our ability to understand or imagine (Isaiah 64:4); 1 Corinthians 2:9) we must be careful not to create questions about heaven that cannot be answered from our human perspective.we need not be afraid of heaven because of the unknowns.insteaad of wondering what God's coming Kingdom will be like, we should concentrate on our relationship with Jesus right now, because when we are in the new Kingdom we will be with him. How we live now will make a difference.
29 | Heaven is our home. | Mark | Elice Fox | 62573
thanks Aspilos. in John 14:2-3 Jesus said There are many homes up there where my Father lives, and I am going to prepare them for your coming.when everything is ready, then I will come and get you, so that you can always be with me where I am.if this were not so I would tell you plainly. Here Jesus is saying,"I am going to prepare", and when everything is ready, then I will come and get you. we can look forward to eternal life because Jesus has promised it to all who believe in him. although the details of eternity are unknown, we need not fear, because Jesus is preparing for us and will spend eternity with us. also Aspilos if you have a chance to read Revelation chapter 4 John was in the spirit when he saw Heaven it truly is awesome. you have a beautiful name what does it mean? God bless you Elice.

33 | What is the significance of this verse? | Mark 14:52 | Elice Fox | 81457
Quest Study Bible.Nobody knows for sure.Early in church history it was suggested that this was Mark, the Gospel writer himself. Perhaps he in his night clothes had followed the disciples from his home where Jesus and the Twelve had earlier celebrated the Last Supper(Acts12:12). He may be including a bit of his own biography, however shameful, right in the middle of this dramatic story. Whether or not this was Mark, the story documents how Jesus' followers completely abandoned him.
34 | recognition of authority is faith | Luke 7:9 | Elice Fox | 54546
Roman soldier demonstrated faith even though he was a Gentile and had not been bought up to know a loving God. when he gave orders he had faith that they would be carried out. therefore he knew in faith that Jesus did not have to be present to heal, but say the word.
35 | would like to study 4:23-24. | John | Elice Fox | 58856
chapter 4 Jesus was talking to the Samaritian woman at the well. v.19 "Sir", the woman said, "I can see that you are a prophet. v.20 Our fathers worshipped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem. v.21 Jesus declared, "believe me woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem v.22 you Samaritians worship what you do not know;we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. v.23 yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. v.24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth. God is not limited to one location, nor does he identify with only one nation. the whole universe is his, and he is present everywhere. genuine worship involves both fact and faith. truth means we are to worship the right God the God revealed in the Bible through Jesus Christ. spirit means that true worship demands more than just outward motions. it is an inner submission of oneself to God.(Romans 12:1) Sanctification in greek( hagiasmos) as used in the Scriptures means to make holy, to consecrate, to separate from the world, and be set apart from sin in order that we may have close fellowship with God and serve Him. pray this will help you God bless.
36 | would like to study 4:23-24. | John | Elice Fox | 58889
ktmon, you asked the forum if someone would help you study John 4:23-24. Romans 12:1 is a cross reference scripture, which in my prayer time use.John 4:24 says"God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth".so in meditating Romans 12:1 in prayer saying, as Paul instructs us" Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices holy and pleasing to God this is your spiritual act of worship. Growing, maturing Christians will encounter some pain. we lose superficial pleasures when we abandon sinful activities. we may have to struggle to establish new patterns of living.becoming living sacrifices ( that is, giving our lives totally to God) does not mean endless martyrdom, however. we can find fullfillment and satisfaction in becoming what God created us to be, no matter what the cost. we will see a higher purpose in life than avoiding pain. pray this will also help you. God bless.

38 | Is this heaven or the family? | John 14:2 | Elice Fox | 61881
1 Peter 2:11 Peter states: Dear brothers, you are only vistors here. since your real home is in heaven I beg you to keep away from the evil pleasures of this world; they are not for you, for they fight against your very souls.Life Application Bible. Heaven is an important concept in the Bible, but it is not the pink-cloud-and harp existence popular in cartoons. In Scripture heaven is where God dwells. it operates according to God's principles and values, and it is eternal and unshakable. Heaven came to earth in the Jewish sanctuary ( the Temple and Tabernacle) where God's presence dwelt. it came in a fuller way in the person of Jesus Christ,"GOD WITH US". it permeated the entire world as the Holy Spirit came to dwell in the heart of every believer. Someday, after God judges and destroys all sin, the Kingdom of Heaven will rule every corner of this earth. we will be with Christ in a way not possible in this life, John saw this day in a vision and he cried out,"Look, the home of God is now among men, and he will live with them" (Revelation 21:3). our real home, our true loyalty, is not to the things of this earth that will be destroyed. it is to God's truth, his way of life, his perfect creation. because of this we often feel like strangers in a world that would prefer to ignore God in reality, however, we are citizens of the growing Kingdom of Heaven that, at Christ's Second Coming, will last forever. pray this will help you.
39 | True church of God | John 14:6 | Elice Fox | 53683
also look at Matt 16:18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not overcome it.Jesus likely meant that he would build his church on the rock solid truth of his own identity as the Son of God, which Peter acknowledged. yet the apostles played a crucial role in establishing the church's foundation (Eph 2:20) Peter may have been the first person to grasp the true identity of Jesus. as such he was the first member of a church that would continue to grow, stone by stone.1 Peter 2:4-8.
