47 | What does this verse mean along with v-6 | Ps 126:5 | C.S.M. | 155228
Dear Business woman, When you live the Christian life, you will not float down the river on a flowery bed of ease. Look at the life of Jesus, he lived a fairly normal life until he began his ministry, then the whole world turned on him. The religious, government, Jews and Gentiles, all turned against him, that’s all the folks on earth, talk about alone!!! There were tears. Why? Because he was obeying God, regardless of the opposition and desertion he was getting from every human being on earth. He obeyed God despite all of it. That’s what happens to every Christian that is truly obeying God, but it is of eternal significance, you will be glad. The precious seed spoken of in v. 6 is the word of God. See Matt 13:1-23 which is talking about a sower of seed and what kind of ground it’s sown in. Then it explains that the seed is the word of God, and people are the ground the seed is sown in. The type of soil (or people) can be wayside, stony, thorny, or good ground. Notice only one fourth of the ground produces a crop, the good ground. Perhaps it started out as the other three, but with plowing, the wayside became broken up soil, the stones and thorns were removed and lo and behold, we now have good soil, good ground to plant seed into. If you discern it, people are the crop God is seeking, plowing, removing stones and thorns from, to make them fruitful good soil. Sum it up: People are the soil, God is the farmer, God’s word is the seed, Gods’ word is the water, we are the receivers of Gods word so we can be fruitful for ourselves and others. 48 | How do we fullfill the golden rule? | Matthew | C.S.M. | 155830
Dear Bazos, I Cor 13:4-8...Charity in the Greek language is Love... We want to be treated with patience, kindness, mercy, with equality, purity, without selfishness, without anger, with others always thinking the best of us, without our faults being constantly displayed, but with our good points being displayed, that others would help us in time of need and remove burdens, use their faith for our benefit in times of need, joyfully anticipate all things good for us, and stick with us when we fail God, ourselves and others, because this kind of Love always succeeds. Doesn't that sound like a little "heaven on earth" to you? Isn't that what we all want? Always in Christ, C.S.M. |

49 | I need to repent where do I look? | Matthew | C.S.M. | 155831
Dear sacollins, John 3:16 For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes on him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. (17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. Always look to God and ask him to save you in the name of Jesus, his Son. After all, God said he sent Jesus to save all mankind, if they only knew it. What does repent mean? It means turning from one direction and going in the opposite direction. What does it mean to be a sinner? That is someone who is doing opposite of what God says we should do, think, feel and say. There is no human being that has not sinned in some way, against God. In the first place, if one does not know what God says about a subject, how would they know if they were doing opposite of what God wants? Then after they find out what opposition they have toward God they must ask him to forgive them of their sin. All people have broken the first commandment: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and you shall love your neighbor as yourself. Has any human loved God that way, besides Jesus? no. From God's viewpoint when we break even one commandment, we have broken them all! So it puts all people in the place of asking him to forgive them, help them, save them. We've all been there and done that, who are Christians. It has to be asked with all your heart. It is not based on feelings, but because you mean it, you want him to help you forever. You want him to be Lord (supreme authority) over all your thoughts, words, and deeds, all of your ways, means and directions, and all the steps you take in your life time. If you want that more than anything, he will save you, guide you into all truth, and his word will set you free. JOhn 17:17. Then ask him to give you strength, never to oppose him or his word again. Always in Christ, C.S.M. |

50 | Why is it hard for me to repent from sin | Matthew | C.S.M. | 155832
Dear Devinsoldie22, It sounds like you have asked God into your life already. If that is so, he has provided for you a believer the following I John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (9) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Sin is doing opposite of what God says is good. If what you did is opposite of what Jesus would do if he were walking beside you, watching what you did, and didn't do it himself, then it is sin. Ask yourself why you doubt if God exists, and why those thoughts come to your mind. You do realize there is a real devil and God would never put a thought of doubt in your mind, so guess who is putting those thoughts in your mind! Yep, you guessed it, the devil. He doesn't want you to say you believe in God, that would break his power over you! If he can get you to think, speak and do what he does, you would be his servant. When you choose to think, speak and do what God says, now you are his servant. It's your turn to choose! Good or evil! God or satan! God told us in Genesis 2:9,13, that we could eat of the tree of life, and the devil can't stop your choice! God gave you that choice! It's up to you to take that choice. All people have sinned. God sent Jesus so we could be washed from our sin. Tell God your sin, ask him to forgive you and he will. That breaks satan's power over you. Then ask him to help you stay on fire for him, and to defeat every trick of the devil that tries to get you back as satans servant to sin. It's your life, you have to ask, no one can do it for you. Do it now. Always in Christ, C.S.M. |

53 | what is faith | Matt 1:1 | C.S.M. | 156635
Hi Lombardo, Who is faith is a better place to start! To understand faith we must understand the source of all "good" things is God the Father. James 1:17. Therefore if something is good, the source of the good is God the Father. Question: is righteousness good? It comes from its source, God the Father. Question: is faith good? It comes from God the Father. Now look at Ro 9:30-33 The Gentiles, who were all the other nations except the Jews, did not follow God's righteousness, his words. They didn't even have access to God's word. God had given his word to the Jews only. God's word is his righteousness, expressed in words. It is his way of thought, word and deeds, how he conducts all of heaven, it's government, the planets, and every created thing he has made. It is his faithfulness and love toward his creation. Can you imigine, if God was not faithful and loving, what it would be like to get up and there be no sun in the sky? If he were not faithful, the sun may or may not come up, but he is faithful. You can always depend on God to do his part! He does what he does, because he doesn't just have love, he is love I John 4:8 and he doesn't just have light, he is light I John 1:5. This is God's righteousness, his faithfulness and love, that does these things. But God had his servant, Moses, write down his "law" of righteousness, his way, truth, and life (-style). Ro 9:30 called the "law of righteousness" which is the law of God himself. He is righteousness, he doesn't just have righteousness. Ro 9:31 says Israel did not attain to the law of righteousness...(they didn't obey God completely) Ro 9:32 says Why? Because they sought it not by faith, but by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling stone. Who was the stumblingstone? I Peter 2:6-8 tells us the stumblingstone is the precious one, Jesus Christ himself. He says the reason they stumbled was they stumbled at the word, BEING DISOBEDIENT; God needed one obedient man so he could build the church, or the body of Christ, the anointed ones, the believers . Eph 1:20-23... that man was Jesus Christ Phil 2:5-11...up to that time there had been no man, either Jew or Gentile that had completely obeyed God. That was all the people from Adam to Jesus in the Bible! All the people of the earth. Because Jew and Gentile made up all of the people of the earth, where was God going to get people for the building of the church? From the only source there is, Jew and Gentile, who believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and are born of the Spirit of God, into the body of Christ, named "the church" who are believers in Jesus, the stumblingstone. Ro 9:33 Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever BELIEVES ON HIM (Jesus) shall not be ashamed. Ro 9:30 Therefore, Jesus is faith! We must believe on him to be saved, he is the stumblingstone, and rock of offence. At that time no man believed on him, when he was crucified, but when he was raised from the dead, and God sent the Holy Spirit through, Jesus, the baptizer with the Holy Spirit, John 1:33, 36 then mankind was able to begin to believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of the Living God. Notice Jesus said, Luke 24:49 Behold I (Jesus) send the promise of my Father upon you: Notice who the promise is and Jesus is the one who will send the promise: John 1:33, Acts 1:5, 8 , Acts 2:4, Acts 2:33... Acts 2:33 identifies who the promise is, it is the Holy Spirit that God had told John in John 1:33, 36, that Jesus would baptize with, and this was "after" not before, Jesus was raised from the dead. Why? John 16:7 If I (Jesus) go not away, the Comforter (the Holy Spirit) will not come unto you: but if I (Jesus) depart, I (Jesus) will SEND HIM (THE HOLY SPIRIT) UNTO YOU. That agrees with John 1:33, 36 and the other scriptures. See next post continued |

54 | what is faith | Matt 1:1 | C.S.M. | 156636
continued from previous post C.S.M. To sum up, Jesus is faith because he is described as faith, Ro 9:30-33..What shall we say then? That the GENTILES which followed NOT after righteousness (God himself) have attained to righteousness (God Him self), even the righteousness (faithfulness and love) which is of faith (Jesus Himself). (31) But ISRAEL (the other part of all the people of the earth) which followed after the LAW of RIGHTEOUSNESS (God's written word), has not attained to the (obedience to) the law of righteousness (God himself). (32) why? Because they sought it not by faith (Jesus himself, he had not come to earth yet, it was not yet time), but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; (see I Peter 2:8, they didn't recognize the Messiah when he came, Jesus) (33) As it is written, Behold I (God the Father, Himself)lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believes on him (Jesus John 3:16) shall not be ashamed. (margin says: or confounded) That's how we conclude faith is a person, his name is Jesus Christ, the one on whom we must believe. How faith works, is another question. What is faith, is another question. But who is faith is vital to your understanding of all the other questions about faith. Always in Christ, C.S.M. |

55 | What does Matthew 10:13 mean? | Matt 10:13 | C.S.M. | 156726
Hi Kings Child, Matt 10:13 is nestled in the instructions Jesus is giving to his disciples and is one of his "training" sessions. They walked with him for 3 1/2 years observing and experiencing the workings of the Holy Spirit through Jesus. See when Jesus was baptized of God the Father, with the God the Holy Spirit. John 1:25-36. Note it was God the Father that baptized Jesus, God the Son,and told John about it. God identified how John would be able to know the Son of God, in that the Holy Spirit would decend and remain on God the Son, which was Jesus. The point being, Jesus did everything he did on earth as a man, not as the all powerful Son of God Heb 2:9-18. He came as our example so that the "works that I do shall you do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to my Father:" John 14:12. Jesus also said, "the comforter..the Holy Ghost..whom THE FATHER will send in my name, shall teach you all things, and bring all thing to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said to you." John 14:26 How do we know Jesus was training them and why was he training them? Because after his resurrection, Jesus told them you disciples go, "teaching them to observe (or do) all thngs..I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." Matt 28:20 They were to teach believers for all ages how to do exactly what Jesus did while he was on the earth. If Jesus had done what he did as the Son of God, no human could do the things he did. But he did what he did as a human being filled with the Holy Spirit and power. Acts 10:38 so that future believers could follow his example as he commanded his eleven disciples to train them. Therefore when in Matt 10:13 he said, "And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you." he was speaking of discerning by the Holy Spirit if the people in that house would receive their message from God, and if they would not, they would know in their human spirits by the Holy Spirit not to go into the house or to be prepared for whatever was there before them. Paul made it clear by Ro 8:14 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." The Spirit of God is our guide in every area of our life and lifestyle, as we remain sensitive to his leading. He will tell you when to stop, go, don't stop, don't go, whatever you need at the time. Jesus was making them aware of the Holy Spirits leading and how to discern his leading. If they felt uneasy, don't go. There peace would return to them and they could ask God where to go, what to do, when etc. Always in Chirst, C.S.M. |

56 | What does Matthew 10:13 mean? | Matt 10:13 | C.S.M. | 156805
Hi Kalos, No the Spirit is not mentioned here, but you can agree Jesus knew the end from the beginning, after all, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit planned everything before they called it into existence, didn't they? If we do not take all of what God says in the scripture and compare it with all the other scripture in the Bible how can the Holy Spirit guide us into "all" the truth? We could say, 2 plus 2 is four and that's just the way it is and no other elements enter into it. However, we also know that you can add 1 plus 1 plus 1 plus 1 to equal four, and you can say 3 plus 1 is four, so there are other elements that enter into congnitively recognizing elements behind other elements. God in his wisdom, in the old testament, set a foundation of righteousness and sin. Sin is simply, doing opposite of what God says is good, and commands us to do. Romans tells us the law reveals "sin" to us. What that means to me is, When God said "honor your Father and Mother" when a person disregarded that command in any twist of their imigination, God called it sin! It's the same way with everything God says, big or small. Does the Holy Spirit exist today? Did he only exist when it is recorded in the Bible? Did God baptize Jesus with the Holy Spirit? Did Jesus only say what he heard his Father say? These are questions every believer, by the word of God, has to answer. The answers are in the scriptures, but all of them are not bunched up with a neon sign on them saying, "this one goes with that one." Of course one may ask God to teach them the questions to ask, as I did, many years ago, and he has been faithful in doing that. If we only have tunnel vision, and not God's vision, by asking his questions, it is dark all the way around the tunnel, and there is only light at the end of the tunnel. We need light now, in this world's tunneled vision outlook. I based what I said, not on a neon light, but on one of the purposes Jesus came to earth, which was to usher in, for the benefit of mankind, the Holy Ghost..John 16:17...and the fact that at the time he was speaking in Matt 10:11-14 the Holy Ghost had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. John 7:38-39..so they would have no idea what he was talking about, even if he had told them. You realize Jesus didn't tell them "everything" he knew, don't you? He doesn't tell us everything he knows. Why? I don't think we could absorb it anyway, and he knows that. Ever heard the saying, "give only information that is needed for the job?" or the "only on the need to know" principle? You are free to receive or reject what was said, and I'm pleased that you acknowledge the teaching is found in the Bible, and yes, it is not "specifically" mentioned in this passage. Always in Christ, C.S.M. |

58 | Matt 16:15 | Matt 16:15 | C.S.M. | 154980
Dear Obi1kanobi, The scripture you are talking about is a primary scripture to understand concerning the workings of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. I John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost; and these three are ONE. This is the basic fact of what theologians call the Trinity of God. Since this scripture is stated so clearly that they are one, the question to ask is, "How are they one, yet three." The Bible is always its own interpreter and says it is spiritually discerned I Cor 2:14 The "natural" man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither "can" he know them for they are spiritually discerned. I Cor 2:13 tells us the Holy Spirit is our teacher, "comparing spiritual things with spiritual." and that it is not man's wisdom he teaches. God's word contains all the spiritual things of God. Ask God to teach you I John 2:27. However, if a man is born again, which means that person has asked God to forgive them of their sins and save them, then they are born again from above, God turns on their "knowers" that have been off from their "natural" birth, to the point they asked God to save them. It has never been God that did not want mankind to know God and his plan for mankind. Scripture says it is satan that blinds the minds of mankind so they cannot see or know God See II Cor 4:3-5 which states the "god of this world "(the system of thought, word and deed)has "blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest (or so that) the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine (or be revealed) unto them." The god of this world system is satan. He is a control freak. He doesn't want mankind to know "the one true God and Jesus whom he has sent" John 17:3 because, "this is eternal life". What is eternal life? Jesus said, "This is eternal life: that they may KNOW you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, Whom you have sent." So here is where mankind gets their "knowers" turned on. Knowing what? God the Father and God the Son and God the Holy Ghost! What is the "process" of this knowing? It does not come overnight! It is a learning process! Why? Because God is so big, full of so much wisdom, knows so much, that if he were to reveal himself all at once to a person, they could not understand, it would literally do what the world says, it would blow your mind! So God gave mankind a method that they could handle, "Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, RIGHTLY dividing the word of God." II Tim 2:15 Does that take 30 seconds or less? No, it is a lifelong process. No human being has the capacity to know all there is to know about God's thoughts, words and deeds that they can come to some pat answer in 30 seconds or less. Should that overwhelm us? No! Why not? The Holy Spirit is the teacher sent from God to guide us into all the truth. John 14:26. Jesus said, God the Father sends the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus to teach us "ALL" things. That covers everything we need to know in spirit, soul, body, being a doer of God's word, family, finance, fellowship, service, resisting the devil, destroying his works, kingdom, thoughts, words and deeds. No human can learn these things without asking God to show them to them, how to walk properly before God, and how to think, speak and act before God. Will God do these things for you? Yes! How do you know he will? Ask him...James 3:2 says, "you have not because you ask not" then your motive and information must be right also,(3) "you ask, and receive not,(why?) you ask amiss" What is amiss? "so that you may consume it on your own lusts." What's that? Don't just ask to get what you want when you want it. Ask God to show you what he wants in your life, show you how to get there from where you are by the word of God, then when he shows you in his word what to do, then just do it! This is the process. It will come to you. It won't be in thirty seconds or less, so don't get impatient with yourself or your learning process. Read God's word. Ask him to reveal it to you personally and show you how to apply what you read in his word. Now you are growing, and will come to the day you can say, Thank you God for all of your wonderful word and works you have done in me, in Jesus name! Always in Christ, C.S.M. |

59 | What is a cult? | Matt 16:15 | C.S.M. | 154981
Dear truthfinder, Your name is the answer! John 17:17 Jesus says speaking to God the Father, "Sanctify them through your truth: your word IS TRUTH" The problem with mankind is we're looking for truth in all the wrong places! It's not in the world, mankind, ourselves and definitely NOT in the devil! Jesus identified the source of truth: God the Father! Jesus identified the place we can find the truth: The written word of God! Jesus identified what the word of God will do in the life of mankind, it will sanctify them! To get the full import of the study of God's word we must grasp a central fact, there are three kinds of word that apply to the word, "word". The living word is: Jesus Christ The written word is: The Bible The spoken word is: our agreement with the Bible and our agreement with the living Word, Jesus. The world's system of thought, word and deed, are in direct opposition to God and his Son, Jesus Christ, if you have noticed. Anything that does not agree with God has to be a lie, based on what Jesus said to God the Father, "Your word IS TRUTH". Because that is true, then what difference does it make what any man says, if they do not agree with God, through the Bible, which is God's truth? God has all the truth there is, mankind has theories "about" God. God doesn't just know some truth, HE IS TRUTH, himself. Jesus is the exact image of God and he said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life" John 14:6, Heb 1:3. This fact will dissolve all of your questions about "who" is telling the truth! The Bible says about God, "God is not a man, that he should lie" Num 23:19, and Heb 6:18 "It is impossible for God to lie"... Here is the only source of pure, untainted, truth there is, in the written word, concerning the living word, so we can get our spoken word in line with God the Father, who is THE TRUTH! That's enough to make you shout! A cult? Any person, place or thing that does not think, speak, and do the word of Gods truth, the Bible, through Jesus Christ, by the power of God! Always in Christ, C.S.M. |

60 | AUTHORITY, ORGINISATION | Matt 16:15 | C.S.M. | 155032
Dear Obi1Kanobi, Matt 16:13-20 The question it asks is: Whom do YOU (obi1Kanobi)say that I am? It is always a personal question to each person who reads the question. Notice verse 16 Peter answered,"you are the Christ, the Son of the Living God." Christ means Messiah, the anointed One sent from God, God's Son. Notice he wasn't sent as the son of the dead god. Understanding that God is Eternal (which means he has always existed, is existing now, and will always exist)then we know that his Son, Jesus, is also Eternal. Does anyone fully understand from forever to forever, never ending, or eternal? No! And they won't until they stand before the judgement seat of Christ, then it will be very apparent. But that is not the question asked! Who do you, personally, say that Jesus is? Do you say he is the Son of God? Is he alive today? Can he forgive your sins? Will he save you? Will you do what he says? Will you believe what he says? Will you go where he says to go? Will you say what he tells you to say? Does he have a purpose for your life? Does he want to be a part of your life? Do you want to be a part of his life? Notice Verse 17..Jesus told Peter, "You are blessed, Simon Barjona (i.e. son of jona): (Why?) for flesh and blood has NOT revealed it unto you, but my Father (has revealed it unto you, is the implied meaning)which is in heaven. " So then, The REVELATION from God the Father, as to who Jesus is, is the Rock that Jesus will build HIS CHURCH and the gates of hell SHALL NOT prevail (win over) the church..... If you will receive it, the whole Bible is God's revelation knowledge on every subject pertaining to mankind, God, satan, the how to's of the Christian life, the discerner of the hearts and minds of all people.Heb 4:12 He knows you whether you know him or not, he reads you like a book! He doesn't want us to trust another person to teach us, he wants to teach us personally. You can have God as your teacher, if you ask him to teach you, show you, reveal Jesus to you, personally. James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let HIM (obi1Kanobi), ASK of God, that gives to all (mankind) liberally, and unbraids (scolds or scorns) NOT; and IT SHALL BE GIVEN HIM." What shall be given him? Wisdom from God to understand God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit. What was the process for you to get this information?Ask God for it, you Obi1Kanobi, personally need to ask God the questions you are asking other people! Other people are in the same boat you are in. They don't know all the answers. But guess what! God formed the questions, and he knows all the answers, and he is willing to share them with you, If You A.S.K. The ball is in your court, are you going to make a basket and ask God? Always In Christ, C.S.M. It is for you to find out the answer, based on what the word of God says about this man, called Jesus Christ! |
