1 | Is Genesis 1:2 the fall of satan? | Gen 1:2 | Appleseed | 144498
Thanks I went there but this only puts a "theory" in the place of Gen. 1:1 and Gen. 1:2 and doesn't say why. They put evolution in its place and this is wrong, unsupported by scripture. Also this is opinion based and not Word based. Please read through those scriptures I supplied and they will hold up in any court of law when put under scrutiny (from a world perspective) and more importantly this is what the Word says - explain those verses away by explaining when they happened and I will agree. The Word explains the Word.
2 | Matt. 17:11-13 Elijah to John the Bapt.? | Matt 17:12 | Appleseed | 143834
Hi Brad, Thanks for clarifying. As you know even, 1) To prevent idolatry is speculation which has less scriptural backing, also doesn't answer the fact that it was guarded from satan. There were many other great men of God that had graves, why didn’t God's people us their bones to make them “Idols”? Not one example of where God’s people, those who Feared God, did this with their kings/leaders bones. Also they know that it is unclean to even touch a corpse and to make something an idol is even worse. So the ones who seek God wouldn’t have stumbled at this. 2) They spoke about 2 things 1) His departure (Luke 9:31) 2) His second coming (2 Peter 1:16-18). 3 | Is Genesis 1:2 the fall of satan? | Gen 1:2 | Appleseed | 143826
Hank, I don't know of any "Gap Theory" all I know is what the Bible says and thus shared it. Like Paul says, "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Tim 2:15. These verses that were provided only explain one thing, no dotted line - wasn't a time after nor is it for time to come but before. Is it important to know the truth - of course, please refer to the post I shared with Doc on how it impacts bringing people to Jesus. In the Living Vine |

4 | Is Genesis 1:2 the fall of satan? | Gen 1:2 | Appleseed | 143825
Hi Doc, Is it necessary? Yes the truth needs to be revealed in order to answer questions the secular world has. For us as Christians it makes no difference. But it is a stumbling block to many because of what they believe Christians have told them. The earth until now is 6000years. We also know that from Gen. 1:3 until today is approx 6000Years (give and take 50years) but it is not true to say from Gen. 1:1 to today it is 6000years. As there are other scripture which I mentioned previously that could not have happened after this period and will never happen not even during the end times or the 1000years reign of Christ - after this we know it is eternity, no more time and no more satan on earth. So the only time is before. I will provide a brief further insight. We know from the verses (not Theory) that satan was on earth, in eden, before he fell. We know from scripture that he fell before Adam and the Woman were created ("the serpent of Old"). Also that The Genesis 1 has two Hebrew words that describe two key activities God used in the reconstruction of the earth - Bara (means to Create, bring into existence from nothing, 01254 Strong’s) and Asah (means to Mold/Fashion what already exists, 06213 Strong’s). God created the earth and the heavens in Genesis 1:1 then He destroyed it by casting Satan down to entire earth and removing His light from the earth. The earth still existed but in a destructive state (Gen. 1:2). Then God rebuilt the earth by calling things that be not as if they are. Things that already existed from previous He used and molded the earth into shape (e.g. Gen. 1:7). God created us from Himself He took of Himself fashioned it to make man’s spirit. Then made a man’s body (the flesh) from dust of the earth and breathed the life (spirit and soul) into the body then the body became alive (Gen. 2:7). He put the man into Eden (Gen. 2:8). Then told him to tend and guard the Garden of Eden (Gen. 2:15). This was the first commandment He told man (not multiply :)), this was even before the woman came. Guard it from what? From Satan because he was still on earth. Then God made the woman etc. And God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth” (Gen. 1:28 KJV). God gave the authority/dominion over the earth to mankind. But some time after the 7th day, Satan slipped into Eden and possessed the serpent (“serpent of old” Rev. 12:9; 20:2). The serpent tempted the woman to eat of the forbidden fruit. And the woman was deceived and ate, then gave it to the man. And the man ate knowingly he was disobeying God (1 Tim. 2:14). Then God said to the serpent (the devil, Satan), “Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all cattle, and more than every beast of the field; on your belly you shall go, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel” (Gen. 3:14-15). The seed was the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Satan needed to stop the seed from coming and one way he could do it was to pollute the seed. So Satan convinced 1/3 of the angels to follow him to earth in order to stop the seed from coming to earth (Rev. 12:1-4). Only way to pollute the seed was to mix it with Angelic seed (Angels having sex with humans). SOME of those angels went around the earth having sex with everyone to defile the seed (Gen. 6:1-12). If they continued they would have polluted the seed and God’s word would not have come to pass – the Messiah. Noah was the only one who was still righteous (Gen. 6:10-12). So God told Noah to build an ark because God was going to destroy everyone in the earth with a flood. Ark was to save Noah, His family and animals. When Noah had completed the ark the LORD flooded the earth. The angels who went around trying to polluting the seed by having sex with humans were locked up and placed in chains until the day of judgment, all the people besides Noah and his family died (2 Peter 2:4-5). “And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire” (Jude 1:6-7). Those fallen angels who weren’t cast into chains are still today helping Satan. In The Living Vine |

5 | Is Genesis 1:2 the fall of satan? | Gen 1:2 | Appleseed | 143818
so #2 We need to ask what was before the destruction in Genesis 1:2? Lucifer is known as the King of Tyre and Babylon was in the physical world before Adam and Eve, revived later after Adam and Eve by the hands of men by the authority of Babylon in the spiritual world. Babylon in the spiritual world will be cast down at the end of the great tribulation (Rev. 14:8; 17:1-7). The LORD God said to the son of man, tell Lucifer, “You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering: the sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created. You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; you were on the holy mountain of God; you walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones” (Ezek. 28:12-14). Lucifer was perfect in Eden. We know that he was not perfect when Adam was there so God was referring to a time before then, i.e. the time after God created the Heavens and the earth but before the destruction in Genesis 1:2. Back then Lucifer was the best-looking angel, or else God would not have mentioned how beautiful Lucifer was. By his physical composition he was created to praise God, what an incredible honor. He was also part of the Holy government. On the Holy Mountain with God like Moses was (Ex. 24:10,17). He ruled the earth because we know that he was located on earth (in the garden of Eden). And God says, “By the abundance of your trading you became filled with violence within, and you sinned; therefore I cast you as a profane thing out of the mountain of God; and I destroyed you, O covering cherub, from the midst of the fiery stones” (Ezek. 28:16). “How the oppressor has ceased, the golden city ceased! The LORD has broken the staff of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers; He who struck the people in wrath with a continual stroke, He who ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted and no one hinders… "Hell from beneath is excited about you, to meet you at your coming; it stirs up the dead for you, all the chief ones of the earth; it has raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. They all shall speak and say to you: "Have you also become as weak as we? Have you become like us?” (Is. 14:4-6,9-10). They knew that Lucifer had authority because he was with God. God continues to say, “Your pomp (your pride) is brought down to Sheol, and the sound of your stringed instruments; the maggot is spread under you, and worms cover you. How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! “How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations!” (Is. 14:11-12). He weakened the nations before he was striped of his authority and was thrown out of heaven to earth. Jesus, the Word of God, mentioned Satan’s fall, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven” (Luke 10:18). Lucifer corrupted the nations of the earth before Adam was created (between Gen. 1:1 and 1:2). These physical spirit beings that were on earth were under the rule of Lucifer. They were intelligent and had knowledge of good and evil. They had the ability to choose and they choose Lucifer. Lucifer lead the people astray from God’s command so God stripped from Lucifer from his authority over the earth and he was thrown to the earth. When he fell, he fell as the son of the morning, talking about his original fall not the fall during the tribulation. What was the start of Lucifer’s sin? Pride, “For you have said in your heart: "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High. Yet you shall (his future during the 1000years reign of Christ – Rev. 20:1-3) be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit” (Is. 14:13-15). He said within himself that he would ascend into heaven? He was already part of the government of God but his ruler ship was over the earth. He ruled earth before iniquity was found in him. 6 | Is Genesis 1:2 the fall of satan? | Gen 1:2 | Appleseed | 143817
Hi, Thought I would answer this question in 2 notes - #1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Gen. 1:1). When God creates something it is always perfect (Deut. 32:4; Ps. 18:30). “For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens, who is God, who formed the earth and made it, who has established it, who did not create it in vain, who formed it to be inhabited” (Is. 45:18). So why does the next verse say “the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep”? There is no time frame given from the creation of earth (Gen. 1:1) to the chaos on the earth (Gen. 1:2). “The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters” (Gen. 1:2). Jeremiah speaks of the exact same thing, “I beheld the earth, and indeed it was without form, and void; and the heavens, they had no light. I beheld the mountains, and indeed they trembled, and all the hills moved back and forth. I beheld, and indeed there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens had fled. I beheld, and indeed the fruitful land was a wilderness, and all its cities were broken down at the presence of the LORD, by His fierce anger” (Jer. 4:23-26). This has never happened since then and will never happen not even during the tribulation. The earth was literally destroyed and covered with water. And because there was no light there was no heat therefore the earth was literally a ball of ice. Then God reformed the earth and recreated physical life forms over 6 days. Could God do make plants grow in super quick time? Of course He can. Who destroyed the earth? What was before the destruction? And why was the earth destroyed? Is there any correlation between the flood of Gen. 1:2 and God flood in the days of Noah Gen. 7? Who destroyed the earth? God destroyed the earth. Job said, “God removes the mountains, and they do not know when He overturns them in His anger; He shakes the earth out of its place, and its pillars tremble; He commands the sun, and it does not rise; He seals off the stars” (Job 9:5-7). This has not happened since Adam and will not happen, not even in the tribulation period. Then Job goes on to describe Gen. 1:2-5. “He alone spreads out the heavens, and treads on the waves of the sea; He made the Bear, Orion, and the Pleiades, and the chambers of the south” (Job 9:7-9). |

7 | Matt. 17:11-13 Elijah to John the Bapt.? | Matt 17:12 | Appleseed | 143610
Howdee, Yes, as mentioned a theory and not going to debate because it will be foolishness. It doesn't say plainly it happened or else I wouldn’t spend time explaining Biblical principles. Yes dotted lines but these dotted lines are based on foundation Biblical principles, which were highlighted previously. If you don't agree with this then you are still left with the following question that you need to answer. Based on all the possible answers I have been through and commentaries I've read (very little on this I might add) this theory makes the most sense to me biblically but there are still questions like who but the when and why has already been answered: 1) Why did God take personal interest in burring the body of Moses and protecting it from satan as He didn’t do that for anyone else? 2) Why did Jesus speak with him at the mount? It wasn't Enoch but Elijah and Moses. They covered a very specific subject of His second coming - why them? It wasn't someone else, nor was it one or three people but two specific people Elijah and Moses. 3) Keeping in mind anyone calling up the dead to talk are mediums, is an abomination to God. “Or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination to the LORD” (Deut. 18:11-12). Jesus would not do this so how was it possible for Jesus to call up Moses from Paradise (in Sheol) when satan had the keys over death? No one can have a clear answer on the above without speculation :) In the Living Vine |

8 | Matt. 17:11-13 Elijah to John the Bapt.? | Matt 17:12 | Appleseed | 143412
To be brief :), first a statement then justification - Moses was raised from the dead, like Lazarus and others. But unlike Lazarus, Moses went to heaven, translated like Elijah. It happened sometime after his death and before mount transfiguration. I wondered why did God personally burry Moses’ body? Why did God protect Moses’ dead body and no one elses? Why did satan want it so badly? The reason is not to hide it from the people to stop them committing idolatry. As there were many other great men of God that had graves, why didn’t they dig up their bones to make them “Idols”? Not one example of where God’s people, those who FEARED God, did this with their kings/leaders bones. Also they know that it is unclean to even touch a corpse and to make something an idol is even worse. So the ones who seek God wouldn’t have stumbled at this. There must be another reason for God to burry it, hide it from people and especially to protect it against satan “the destroyer.” Why did God preserve and take care of it Himself? We try to preserve bodies over the years with aloes, spices etc but to be honest sincerely unsuccessfully. Note, we try but God would surely succeed if He did it. Why would God preserve and protect Moses body? For a future purpose! What future purpose? Moses will be one of the two witnesses during the tribulation period (Rev. 11:3-5). Moses meets the criteria of the witness described in Zech. 4. Also the witness does similar miracles to that which Moses did in Egypt (Rev. 11:6). And Jesus spoke about His second coming (end of the tribulation) He spoke to Moses and Elijah (Matt. 17). These 2 witnesses, Moses and Elijah, will come from heaven’s paradise in their physical corruptible bodies at the same time the rapture happens? And Just like Moses showed Israel their sins he will be showing the world their sins and the importance of a Savoir, Jesus Christ. They would need to die or be raptured in order to be redeemed by the Blood of Christ, and they do at mid tribulation (Rev. 11:7-10). Peter reiterated what Jesus spoke about on mount “transfiguration”, the sacred mountain (2 Peter 1:16-21). Moses needs a corruptible body not an incorruptible one to fulfill his purpose as a witness, as he would need to die at the hands of the Beast’s friend (Rev. 11:7-10). Wouldn’t be able to do it in an incorruptible one. Saints who were in paradise when Jesus was resurrected would have received one either at Jesus’ resurrection (Matt. 27:52 - where some saints received) or at the rapture where the rest would receive it (1 Cor. 15:50-54). Therefore Moses would have received his and wouldn’t be possible for him to die, which would mean the following would be exposed: 1) he couldn’t have been one of the witnesses the two witnesses that performed miracles similar to Moses Rev. 11 2) Why did Jesus speak with him at the mount. 3) There would be no reason for the God to personally bury the body of Moses and protect it as He didn’t do that for anyone else. 4) How did Jesus have the power over Moses spirit by calling it out of Sheol when it belonged to Satan. Moses wouldn’t have been permitted to see Jesus at mount transfiguration unless he was in his body. Why? Jesus couldn’t have called him from Sheol’s paradise because He didn’t have the authority over Sheol, only Satan did at that time (per the previous message). Now if Jesus knew where Moses body was and raised him from the dead then that would have been possible (not saying Jesus did – Hypothetical). But to bring up a spirit from death without addressing the reason the spirit has authority on earth, the body, He couldn’t. He would be like the mediums. Look at Lazarus, Jesus brought his spirit back from Sheol and Lazarus body lived again. Jesus could only raise him by addressing the very thing that gives the spirit the right to rule on earth – their body (spirit’s earth suit). Without an earth suit, body, our spirit is not allowed to exercise its rights over the earth (Gen. 1:28; Ps. 8:6-8; Ps. 115:16). It needs to be in one. Why did Jesus if 2 agree on earth … (Matt. 18:19). For this reason Jesus didn’t exercise his authority as the Son of God but the Son of Man (John 5:27) a big difference. If He called up the dead He would be like the mediums that relinquish their authority to Satan. It is possible that Moses came down from paradise in his body because he was raised earlier by someone exercising their authority as the Son of Man (Elijah? Jesus?) and God translated him to heaven like Elijah, still unredeemed. Would Jesus have known where Moses body would be buried and could He have raised Moses from the dead? This would mean seeing Moses at mount transfiguration would be legal, makes sense why God protected his body. Also means Moses is not redeemed yet but will be during the trib. therefore makes sense that he be one of the witnesses and a good reason why Jesus spoke to them. Just a theory that is out there. |

9 | Matt. 17:11-13 Elijah to John the Bapt.? | Matt 17:12 | Appleseed | 141548
Kim, A quick bridge building answer - Based on the “reincarnation principle”, if this was true and we know it isn’t, when the body dies then the soul moves into another body. We know that this cannot be the case for Elijah the Prophet because he is not dead but in heaven (2 Kings 2:1). The Biblical answer – Let me make a statement and then try to prove it biblically. Was John the Baptist the same Elijah that was in the Old Testament? No. Was John the Baptist reincarnated with all of Elijah the Prophet’s spirit, which will now mean Elijah doesn’t have a spirit in Heaven? No. Did John the Baptist have the same calling and same spirit as Elijah the Prophet? Yes. First some background. All the righteous before Jesus was resurrected went down to Sheol, in the earth. Except for Enoch (Gen. 5:24; Heb. 11:5), Elijah (2 King 2:1) and Moses (Jude 9) they went to heaven. Jesus was the first fruit of those who died who went to heaven (Col. 1:18; Acts 26:23; 1 Cor. 15:20; Matt. 27:64; Rev. 1:5). What about the prophet Samuel who served the LORD from a child surely he went to heaven? No to paradise in Sheol (1 Sam. 28:13-15), what about the “anointed” sons of Korah the Chief Musician? No (Ps. 49:14-15 Interlinear), King Hezekiah? No (Is. 38:10), surely King David? No (Acts 2:34; 13:36). Sheol is a place located inside the earth, it was owned by death and the owner of death was Satan (Heb. 2:14-15). Thus Satan owned all the souls of those who died from the beginning of creation. The righteous and wicked people both went there but were slotted into the different chambers within Sheol. Sheol (H7585) included Paradise/Abraham’s bosom (G3857), Hades/Pit (H953, G86, H7845), Tartarus/Prison of Fallen Angels (G5020), Abyss/bottomless pit (G12, G5421) and Gehenna/Hell/Lake of eternal fire (G1067). Jesus sacrificed Himself to set everyone who loved God free forever. “The graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had died were raised” (Matt. 27:52; Eph. 2:6). How? Jesus took the keys of Hades and Death away from Satan (Rev. 1:18; Heb. 2:14-15) so that we never have to be oppressed by the fear of death again (1 Cor. 15:55; Hos. 13:14). About Elijah and John - 1) In Matt. 11:11 It does not say John is the least in the Kingdom of Heaven BUT that the least is greater than he. Why? Because John the Baptist wasn’t even part of the Kingdom of Heaven until after Jesus was glorified. We know that Elijah the prophet was in the Kingdom of Heaven so the only way this can be true is if John the Baptist and Elijah were not the same. 2) When John died he didn’t go to heaven but went to Sheol – the same place King David, Abraham, Samuel etc. went. Why? Because Jesus was not yet glorified. After he was “the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had died were raised” (Matt. 27:52; Eph. 2:6). About 1 year before this happened Moses and Elijah appeared to Jesus on mount (Matt. 17). If John the Baptist was the Prophet Elijah then Jesus would be calling Elijah from the Paradise which was in Sheol. And at that time it was owned by satan. Jesus would be no better than a medium that Saul used to call up Samuel. Net, God placed the same spirit and calling in John the Baptist as Elijah so that the prophecy of Mal. 4:5 can be fulfilled in John the Baptist. John the Baptist came in the power of Elijah Luke 1:16-17. Andre |

11 | Could the Septuagint be more accurate? | Luke 3:36 | Appleseed | 136027
I would agree with this if the Bible in Gen 11:12 doesn't distinctly say that Arphaxad was 35years when he fathered Shelah. This is a continous sentence. So the incomplete list or gap between Arphaxad and Shelah is not there. Also these are 2 different people. What is possible is the Luke used the Septuagint to get the list (Jesus also used it or else Luke wouldn't of. Jesus taught Luke. Also strong evidence that the Septuagint was used in Jesus day). So it is right in the Septuagint but how the question is why the difference. I have extracted the same verses from Gen. 11:12-13 for the Bible and the Septuagint. Why the difference between the 2, not a small change pretty significant to me. 12 Arpachshad was 35 years old when he became the father of Shelah (B). 12 And Arphaxad lived a hundred and thirty-five years, and begot Cainan (S). 13 After he became the father of Shelah, Arpachshad lived 403 years and had other sons and daughters (B). 13 And Arphaxad lived after he had begotten Cainan, four hundred years, and begot sons and daughters, and died. And Cainan lived a hundred and thirty years and begot Sala; and Canaan lived after he had begotten Sala, three hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters, and died. (S) |

12 | A humdinger can anyone answer this? | Luke 3:36 | Appleseed | 135957
to Add - it is not the answer - I think the only logic is that Cainan died before his son Selah came into the world and his father Arphaxad adopted him as his son. This was possible but is there another explanation beside this logic that is unstantiated |

In this verse it says the son of Cainan is son of Arphaxad but in 1 Chr 1:18 it is Shelah is son of Arphaxad and in Gen. 10:24 the same. Why is Cainan mentioned in Luke and not in 1 Chr or Gen 10, what am I missing?

Thanks for the quick response EdB Could you highlight scripture where God brings sickness on His Children, those who believe in Jesus (under the New Testament - seeing that Jesus was made a curse for us). Also considering that Jesus is the expressed image of God the Father. Jesus went around healing those who were oppressed by the devil. And when His disciples wanted to hurt those who didn't believe (order fire from heaven) Jesus rebuked them. |

16 | Do we tithe on our net or gross? | Mal 3:8 | Appleseed | 22926
The purpose of the heart is to follow the Word of God because we love Him. Jesus has given us the freedom through Him, it does not mean we need to ignore the Words of the prophets. Where did Jesus say that we are not to tithe? He did not. Where did Paul say we are not to tithe? He did not. We must not get hung on the law of Moses because tithe was before then (therefore not the root and therefore cannot be cut down). 2 examples were given; Jacob and Abraham who tithed, which were before Moses. A valuable lesson that I was taught a long time ago. Becareful of those who take one verse and build a mountain on it. What do I mean? If I had to tell you, which number follows this sequence, 1? Who knows it could be anything 1 or 1000 or -2. If I said, which number follows this sequence, 3, 9? It could be 3 plus6 equals 9 therefore 9 plus 6 equals 15 or it could be multiples of 3, 3,9,27 or it could be 3,9,3 or it could be 3,9,81 etc. So even with two numbers in series the truth cannot be determined. What happens if there are a string of number like 3,9,27,81? the next one can be determined easierly. If you really get down to it, there are more supporting tithe than not. Thanks for the insights anyway. This is my last response on this topic. One day we can ask the Lord in Heaven. :-). Love in Christ |

18 | Do we tithe on our net or gross? | Mal 3:8 | Appleseed | 22658
Good morning Johnny, Last night as I was doing my nightly reading (been reading Luke this week), guess what I read? On tithing (coincidence? I don't believe in coincidences). Here is a passage where Jesus said we need to tithe. "But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone." (Luke 11:42). Jesus confirms that they need to tithe without leaving the others undone. A tithe means 10percent, anything above 10percent is an offering. God told everyone to tithe, rich and poor. Tithing is not for God's benefit or the Pastors benefit but for our benefit. When I started tithing 10percent. I was going into debt every month. It was not the tithe but my life style that pushed me over (I could only afford 2percent tithe - This was the first place I wanted to cut :o)). In 7months I came out of debt, literally supernaturally. Nothing I did differently except start tithing 10percent, not 8percent or 2percent. God is very particular, remember how detailed Jesus was when He fed the multitude (sit down in 50's etc.). In the same way the amount 10percent is very significant (we don't know all God's reasoning behind 10percent. God did not just decide on 10 for no reason). Yes, when we give God looks at the heart. So I wouldn't challenge God's 10 (tithe) by giving 2percent, and then telling God that this is my "tithe". It would be very easy to justify why I can only give 2 with worldly logic. But God knows everything. If we really get down to it, do we have to drive that car, live in that house, or eat that food? "seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." (Matt. 6:33). I pray that the LORD reveals this to you In the Living Vine |

Nolan,Another extract. What do you think? Give offerings unto the LORD (Deut. 12:6,11,17). For your tithe belongs to God and your offering is your seed that you want God to multiply back to you (Ezek. 36:29). An offering has a specific assignment that you want carried out. An offering is a seed of the fruit you want. The seed is what we give, and the harvest is what we keep. If we give nothing then we will receive nothing. For nothing multiplied by a million is nothing. Paul said to those who gave, “For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities.” (Phil. 4:16). “Not that I seek a gift but I seek the fruit multiplying to your account” (Phil. 4:17 Green Interlinear). God does not measure the amount we give but how much we have left. If what I give does not move me, then it will not move God. When Jesus was sitting near the collection box a “poor widow came and threw in two mites, which make a quadrans. So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood.”” (Mark 12:42-44). The money she gave moved her and thereby moved Jesus to make this comment. For an uncommon seed produces an uncommon harvest. Why? Because we are using a higher level of faith to give it. If you earned 2,000 a month, would you need more faith to offer 1,000 or 10? Obviously 1,000. We don’t pay God for a miracle in the same way we don’t exchange an apple seed for an apple tree. God is not impressed by the amount of money we give, He is only pleased with the level of faith we use. Two things please God; The amount of faith we use (Heb. 11:6) and giving with a cheerful heart (2 Cor. 9:7). |

Nolan, I extracted this from a book, what do you think? Give your tithes to God. God said, “You have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me.” (Mal. 3:8-9). Don’t steal from God! If you steal from God, He will remove His blessing from you. This will result in the world controlling your path. If the world controls your path then satan controls your path (Eph. 2:2; 1 John 5:19). When satan controls your path then you will be cursed (Mal. 3:11). And when you are cursed, then everything that you do will go wrong. And when you are blessed, then everything that you do will go right. For “the blessing of the LORD makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.” (Prov. 10:22). When we give to God what we owe Him, He will assign angels to protect our fruit. It is like paying for bodyguards in the spiritual realm (Ex. 23:19-23). If we don’t tithe and give our first fruit to God, then the angels will not protect our fruit and us. Why? Because we are stealing from God, thereby making our money an Idol. If we could see into the spiritual realm, we would see an enormous amount of spiritual contact that is made with our fruit and us. Demons will like nothing more than find you and your fruit unprotected (1 Peter 5:8). So tithe! What is tithing? Tithing is giving the first tenth of your profit, your fruit, to God (2 Chr. 31:5; Gen. 14:20; Gen. 28:22; Lev. 27:32-33; Deut. 14:22). God is a God of precision, so it is the first tenth of your profits, not your second or your third tenth. You shouldn’t start paying your bills until you have given the tithe to God. “All the best of the oil, all the best of the new wine and the grain, their firstfruits which they offer to the LORD.” (Num. 18:12). What would you say is the best part of your profit? The first portion, because it is the root of the rest. It is the starting point. Would you feel more honored if someone gave you the fruit before or after they started eating it? Obviously before, because they thought of you before they thought of themselves. So give your best portion to God, that is, the first tenth. And when you give to God, do not ask for it back or try to exchange it, “for it is holy to the LORD.” (Ezek. 48:14). |
