I'm new so I'm not sure who you are, but thank you for your attempt to answer. The Lamb's book of life is prophecy, being that it was written before time began, (not long ago), foretelling all the lost who will find salvation and enter the Kingdom of God as His adopted children. Now, that's prophecy at its. Phil.4 [3] And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life. Rev.3 [5] He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Rev.13 [8] And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Rev.17 [8] The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. Rev.20 [12] And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. [15] And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Rev.21 [27] And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. Rev.22 [19] And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Now, where is it said by Christ, Jesus, that He will tarry till all who are lost are found ? |

Dear rdcast, You asked, "where is it said by Christ, Jesus, that He will tarry till all who are lost are found?" To my knowledge, this is not expressed in Scripture at all. (I am assuming your use of "said" is actually asking where it is written.) If you are asking about all men being saved, then that is a teaching called Universalism, unsupported in the Scripture. If you are asking about God's sure and certain redemption of the elect, then we can cite many passages like Ephesians 1:4-5 and Romans 8:29-30. God is sovereign, His purpose cannot be thwarted. Doc, I received the Holy Spirit in 1976 as a young adult. My denomination is the Saving Blood of Christ, inspiration of the Holy Spirit, prayer, humbleness, love of others, alms(not tithing ). I should go on but it becomes tedious to the boastful. I will add, my understanding and belief in the miracle found in the presence of God is unshakable. If you are unfamiliar with some aspect of my questions, I suggest you should follow my search. I welcome your company and value the fellowship. I started with the KJV but quickly moved on to commercial versions but have since returned to the KJV. I love with the love of the One who loved me first. rdc |

Greetings rdc, Those sure are some pretty word but aside from citing biblical chapters and verses it really doesn’t explain all that much on a Bible forum. Sometimes, if Scripture isn’t given, our vernacular expressions confuses others; I’m afraid that I fall into that category at this juncture. 2 Tim. 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: It’s usually "customary" to make a personal declaration then back it up with God’s Word. Here is one that you claim and I’m not quite sure how that works. “I should go on but it becomes tedious to the boastful.” Why should you go on, and how is it tedious to the boastful; I've never seen it be much of a problem for them? You mentioned the KJV of the Bible and commercial versions; does that mean that your KJV was free or something? I would like to suggest that you might want to add the denomination that you mentioned, in your post, to your User Info; sometimes it helps: I’ve never heard of that denomination? I hope you enjoy the forum, CDBJ |
