The best authoritative source of reformed theology is the the Westminster Confession of Faith. You can read the text of this reformed statement of faith at http://www.pcanet.org/general/cof_preface.htm Regarding what we teach about God's motivation I would direct you to Ephesians 1:5,6, "IN LOVE (my emphasis) He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, ACCORDING TO THE KIND INTENTION OF HIS WILL (my emphasis), TO THE PRAISE OF THE GLORY OF HIS GRACE (my emphasis), which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved." |
