Whoa!! I must not have explained the situation clearly. First, I sincerely appreciate your response. I have ABSOLUTELY NO romantic interest in her. We worked on a project together at church and became friends. I recently starting suspecting that her feelings were more than platonic for me (they have since been confirmed by a mutual friend) and my intention is to stop this immediately. I came here seeking help through the Bible on how to approach her about this. I know without a doubt what has to be done, I'm seeking God's direction on HOW to do it. By the way, I am 42 and she is 28. I used the word "crush" because it readily conveys the meaning of what is going on. God bless! | ||||||

drciva, Have the "mutual friend" deliver the message that her infatuation and hope for a future with you is a delusion that will wreck the lives of her entire family as well as her own and possibly yours. Then avoid her like the plague, block her e-mails and whatever else is necessary to remove yourself from this situation. This is not a time to be gentle, but blunt. Better she hate you at this point.
