Hi, sarJ... welcome to the forum... The phrase "set my face like flint," means in this context courage and resolute, unchangeable/unswerving determination. Thus, in the context of this passage, it means that Messiah would meet head-on and not shrink away from any suffering He would face in order accomplish the work that was set before Him.
