Greetings Mike! A study is a great idea! I would add one thought about 'arguements' though. I believe there are two kinds of arguements. The first is one where people get defensive, bitter, and destructive with one another. This kind is unproductive and unBiblical. The second is one where people bounce ideas off of one another, challenging and testing thoughts. This kind of arguement is necessary and vital to spiritual growth. There are many idividuals with whom I have disagreed on this forum. Most of them were willing to discuss ideas and sometimes they would changes their views, or I might change mine as a result. However, some are never willing to consider any other viewpoint and simply get defensive and angry. The best advice I can offer is to keep our posts factual, avoid name calling, watch our tone of 'voice', and remember to love one another. Then, even if we disagee on various issues, the 'arguements' will not seem offensive. :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Thank you both for your responces, and I agree with both. I have read the OT many times and there are HUGE portions that leave me scratching my head at best... I was thinking possibly looking into the minor and major prophets, no little task. It seems that MOST of the stuff in these books just completely baffles me, mainly who were they speaking to, why, what was going on....... If someone has a good idea of where to start? I was thinking some personal reading maybe 1-3 chapters and then Q and A.... In love Mike |
