Duhhh! (just kidding:) But yes you are right, I am triing to do too much... I do need to serve at my home church so that my church and I may grow together, it's just not sinking in with the other pastor, and I don't waant to just stop going. I love the other pastor and enjoy fellowshiping with him, I just don't know how to respond without offending him anymore, he seems to take it as an attack on his ministry ( to clarify he does understand it is really Christ's ministry). | ||||||

strts When people leave a ministry many times the pastor takes it as a personal rejection. They shouldn't but it is often hard to get past the hurt. What you need to do is take this pastor to lunch, explain to him your dilemma telling him your certain your called to the other ministry. Then begin to complement and encourage him perhaps a small gift as a token of your appreciation for what he had sown into your life. Leave the door open should you ever felt lead to go back to his church. The longer you put this off the harder it will be to do and also the harder it will be for the pastor to understand. EdB |
