Dear bloodofjesus, Greetings: In our travels through God's Word certain passages are opened to our understanding as God permits that we can grow and with that understanding we go on to other Graces that our Lord leads us to. Your last words were "babe in christ", and God and all the angels in heaven rejoyce in finding you. Getting to your post, Christianity was not taken to them by us, Chritianity started in Israel. But they rejected Jesus when He was there in their midst. They saw Him, touched Him, listened to Him and judged Him. It is not that they are wrong and we are right. The Gospel came to us because they rejected Him. If they had not, the Gentiles (in the scriptures, a pagan; a worshipper of false gods; any person not a Jew or a christian; a heathen), would be lost. And, if you are not of the Jewish heritage, would include you also. Therefore we give God all thanks for allowing this to come to pass. To learn more about the Grace that came to us may I suggest reading and studying Romans chapter 10 and 11. This will explain the affect that the Jewish rejection had on the rest of the world. God loves all His people and if He didn't offer a way of salvation to the entire world He would be a liar. After your studies are complete and you still have any questions, I know that the believers that follow this forum would be grateful if they could help you further. May I also suggest that in your studies you choose a Bible translation that best conforms to the gifts that our Lord has given you. Again, that is Romans chapter 10 and chapter 11. And, as always, ask God to open your mind to His Word. The Comforter (Holy Spirit) will lead you into all truth. And the key phrase here is "lead you" not "push you". May the wisdom of The Father come upon you. terrib |

thank you terrib, Romans 10and 11 were extremely helpful they gave me a better insight to how we got salvation even though we were not the chosen people at first.well at lest we are able to be grafted on ,praise God.why does Romans 11:28 say they are enemies on your account as far as gospel is concerned. whos an enemy? Also does the scriptures guarantee jews salvation even though they were cut off but can be grafted back on? Thanks for your help it seems with some people i try to witness to they need proof that other religions are in the wrong first, before they can even accept the bible as factual i got them to go to church with me cause the preacher can come across more clear than i but i still try to help Gods work as i can just not enough knowledge.anyways thank you. | ||||||

Dearest bloodofjesus, (Rom 11:28 KJV) As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. Paul uses the term enemies here because they rejected The Christ. (Mat 12:30 KJV) He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. You asked, "Also does the scriptures guarantee jews salvation even though they were cut off but can be grafted back on?" First of all: (Rom 2:28 KJV) For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: (Rom 2:29 KJV) But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. Paul uses the term "and not in the letter", meaning not necessarily through Abrahm. For God's chosen people were called stiff-necked, even as they came out of boundage from Egypt. They called Jesus a bastard and proclaim their haughtiness by Saying "We are of Abraham" (i.e. We know who our father is) because they new Mary was not married as yet to Joseph. (Rom 11:25 KJV) For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. (Rom 11:26 KJV) And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: (Rom 11:27 KJV) For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. (And this was fulfilled at the cross) Israel ( the people of the covenant) will be grafted back into the Root (Rom 11:23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.) after "the fulness of the Gentiles" and as with all creatures, "whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved". (Note: "if they abide not still in unbelief") Blindness is still on many there for they do not regard the New Testament and are still waiting for the Messiah. And yet many have been grafted back into the Root for their faith in Christ. And seeing this we should see that That Day is closer now than when we first believed. Not all Gentiles will call upon the name of the Lord and so not all Israel will call upon the name of the Lord, but God has taken away their sin through Christ on the cross. All they have to do is accept that and they will be saved just like anyone else. But as to the "Total Nation of Israel" being saved (as some say) it is as with the great Exodus, not all entered into the promised land. It is through Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, that they will be saved if they call upon Him. (Joh 14:6 KJV) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. No one, Jew or Gentile, can enter the kingdom except through Christ. My Pastor used to have a saying, "Going to church does not make you a Christian anymore than standing in a garage makes you a Pontiac." terrib |
