Dear Seacher56 and Hank, Praise God for that Great things he has done! You are right, Heb 6:6 and fallen away have been discussed many times. I'm sorry if the postings and repostings on these subjects bother you. Some of us are probably not as knowledgable of the scriptures as you are, and , certainly my vocabulary is not as good as Hanks. Very impressive Hank! If any of my posts are not worthy of response by either of you, simply do not respond, however, I have learned much from previous postings by both of you. I've posted a few verses of scripture for you. Please be patient with us: Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, Gal 5:23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Are we weaker than you? Please accept and bear with us: Rom 14:1 Now accept the one who is weak in faith, but not for the purpose of passing judgment on his opinions. Rom 15:1 Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves. Please don't grow weary of helping us understand the Bible. I am a part of this forum to grow stronger in Christ: 2 Thess 3:13 But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary of doing good. In Christ's Love, Cyclist To God be all glory and honor and praise for ever more! |

Dear Cyclist, to thy plea to bear with thee comes forth my plea to bear with me! Your point is indeed valid and well taken. It is the bane of an unsupervised forum that many repetitious questions and correspondingly repetitious responses are sadly the norm and are by and large practically unavoidable. To those of us who have been active on the forum since it was in swaddling clothes, it is no mean challenge to us to keep in mind that many topics that have become old hat to us are untrodden ground to newer users such as you...... The Search apparatus, while helpful, is no panacea: many new users don't use it, possibly because they don't see it or, seeing it, don't know how to use it. And even if they do use it, they may not find in the now vast archives exactly what they are seeking so they pose an additional question on the same topic. It is admittedly easier to type a question than search for an answer and so, human nature being what it is, one tends to take the path of least resistance. So the problem of repetition is becoming ever more in the vanguard as this forum continues to pile post upon post by an ever-increasing number of users. It was not so in the early days of the forum, of course; and I cannot possibly envisage the extent of this problem or what solution can be afforded in the days ahead if the forum continues to grow at the rate it has grown during its first year of existence..... Well, Cyclist, I didn't intend to turn what was meant as a brief response into a dissertation on forum growing pains! Suffice it to say that your post serves to remind me and, I trust, other veteran forum users, to deal more patiently and civilly with ardent new users such as you; and to extend a warm hand of welcome and offer of assistance in lieu of a pointing finger of impolite direction. Your scriptural references are most apt. God's blessings to you in your walk and "ride" with the Lord, Cyclist! --Hank | ||||||

Hank, Thank you! Your level of maturity as a Christian far exceeds mine! I will catch up though! There is one thing about searching in the forum that hinders me. I usually desire to read all postings and it becomes very time consuming because one must click on every posting to read it. It would be great to be able to view all postings at once. Even though one would need to flip through pages it would still be less time consuming. I look forward to reading your postings. No need to respond. Cyclist |
