Greetings capemay! Jesus came to fulfill the law, not to abolish it.. Jesus "took" the Ten Commandments to a "new level" by fulfilling the law and introducing His new covenant with us through faith in Him. "Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:24-26) Jesus came and provided a much more "perfect" way to justify ourselves with God, and that is through our faith, not only by keeping the Law. Blessings to you, Nolan |
