Hi Jesusman, How about Heb. 5:9b "...he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;" and Heb. 12:2 "Looking unto Yeshua the author and finisher of our faith;..." ? What He has started He has promised to finish. Still a work in process :-) Cheri |

Agreed. But wouldn't he be considered one of the talkers and not the walkers? He had his own agenda, not God's. And he was either very deceived or very evil. But his "efforts" were still to God's glory in the end. Someone had to do the evil deed - it was prophesied (and that has always fascinated me how that all worked out). Cheri |

Granted that in the end it was to the glory of God that Judas did what he did as prophesied. some clay is for noble purposes and some for ignoble purposes. Like the other 11 he was trained for 3 years by Jesus and stood in his Grace. We all have the option to make choices and the reaction he chose was to fall out of Grace. We dont know because the Bible does not state if he was corrupt from the beginning but he was in the ministry of Jesus for 3 years, i believe he could have betrayed Jesus after 1 or 2 years but did not, he already had a great following. satan got into judas and he chose to be the one who put Jesus up on the cross to save me ( ironic that someone so corrupt would help in saving me ).

John 6:70 Jesus answered them, "Did I Myself not choose you, the twelve, and yet one of you is a devil?" John 6:71 Now He meant Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, for he, one of the twelve, was going to betray Him. Judas was the only one of the 12 whom Jesus named as being a devil. Hoppy |

Rom 9:18-19 So then He has mercy on whom He desires, and He hardens whom He desires. You will say to me then, "Why does He still find fault? For who resists His will?" The implication is that no creature can resist God's will. Hoppy |

many have resisted the will of God. angels in heaven were kicked out, jonah ran away, moses says i cant speak to the people, samson, all the people who did not make it into cannan, etc. they ended up doing his will but they did resist and they all had the option to choose.
