1 | Can the Bible and Jesus be Idols? | NT general Archive 1 | NewCovenant7777 | 143480 | ||
Is it possible for the Bible, Jesus, and The Cross to be Idols to inspire Wicked Servants/Apostates (Souls who "believe", but without "true repentance) to do their works of iniquity in the Mammon System (The World System we can see and all live in...)? ***Please read Matt7:22, Matt 25, Rom 10:1-5, 2Tim 3:1-5, and 2Tim 4:3 prior to answering. I look forward to your responses... |

Greetings, it is a pleasure to get your inquiry. Let me first say what "true repentance" isn't. True Repentance isn't going from the left to the right so to speak...going from obvious sin to human morality...Even Pagans attempt and many times succeed in this pursuit...as do Mormons, JW's, and Buddhists, etc.. "True Repentance" is being buried... (Image of seed being buried in the ground/mammon system (dead to the works of it) and being supernaturally resurrected to produce fruit in the Unseen City/New Jerusalem ***Of course Jesus was/is an Example of this)... in Him (Christ) and crucified to "all the works of the flesh/good and bad." ***Please read Hebrews 3 and 4 in regards to entering into God's Sabbath Rest and keep in mind "those who He said didnt enter into His Rest because of unbelief" knew of God and believed in Him, but they pursued righteousness in their own strength rather than by faith (Faith is Christ flowing through our crucified souls which is God granting us repentance/a foundation in New Jersualem). Please read Romans 10:2 and 2Tim 3:5 to see that it is not only possible to believe in God, and yet not be have faith (Christ living a truly repentant life through our crucified souls...), but it is quite common... ...and remember there is nothing new under the sun/The Son... Just as the Physical Jews claimed that Abraham was their Father, and that they knew and served God, so do Apostate Christians claim that Jesus is their Lord, and that they have a personal relationship with Him, but there are no "true works of repentance." They sow and reap in the mammon system which the God of Abraham,Isaac, and Jacob doesn't do... Again, thanks 4 your inquiry, and I look forward to hearing from you again... |

Hello NewCovenant7777, It seems like you are getting the formula for posting on the forum down pat. Say, you wouldn’t happen to be an NFL backfield runner would you; your answer to my simple question is some of the greatest side stepping and broken field movements I think I have ever observed! Sometimes telling a person what something is not, can run the gamut from peanuts to planets but the recipients of your replication usually get left somewhere in between. Since the inspired Word of God doesn’t even use the English word “repentance” wouldn’t it be easer and advantageous to see what the Koine Greek word, “metanoia” has to say? Another little hint that I would like to pass on, if you don’t mind, is not to just use a chapter and verse, in your post, but write it all out! Acts 11:18 (KJV) When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life. Most of those that read your post won’t bother to look up and read the address of the Scripture quoted unless you spell it all out! I sure hope you take all this in the manner in which it is sent, as brother in Christ. Could you take a little time and fill out your personal profile so that the forum clan has some idea of where you are coming from, it sure would be appreciated? Juts click on the name of the author of any post and it will come up. Have a great day, CDBJ |

Greetings CDBJ, I appreciate your humor and suggestions. With respect to your suggestion on copying and pasting Scripture, I agree, however I also believe that it is good for us to turn the pages of our Bibles. In addition, as you know I can be a little long winded (type a lot) and as result I don't have sufficient room to copy and paste every Scripture referenced. But again, I appreciate your suggestion, and I will try to do so, as space permits... I will research "metanoia", and get back with you on that as the Lord leads...I am confident it will confirm what the Lord has already revealed to me, and hopefully illuminate it all the more...amen and amen.If you could send me any info you have on it, I would appreciate it, thanks... Also, I did create a profile, albeit brief. I will add more later... Crucified in HIM, Luis |

Hi NewCovenant7777, Thanks for the personal profile but with out appearing to be too dumb could you explain to me what you ment, in your profile, by planting home churches? I realized what was going on when there were no actual church buildings as mentioned in Romans and I Corinthians. Example Romans 16:5 Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ. 1 Cor. 16:19 The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house. What actually is it that you are striving to accomplish; is it some kind of a new movement or denomination or is there an affiliate group? What is the advantage in doing this, planting home churches, with so many different denominations out there to choose from that already exist?? How is the theme in church planting any different then what we fine exhibited in other denominations; what is the main thrust, as it were? I’m interested and confused, CDBJ |
