1 | Matthew talked about JC as a Jew - why? | NT general Archive 1 | justme | 108707
Mastery: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum: May I suggest that it would be better if we refered To Gods Son as Jesus Christ. There is something less than respectful in calling Jesus Christ as "J C". I know you are new and just thought you would want to know. Blessings to you. justme |

2 | Matthew talked about JC as a Jew - why? | NT general Archive 1 | clinzey | 108772
I hate to be trivial, but I don't think God would take umbridge to Jesus being called "JC." Remember, Jesus wasn't even his real name. It is merely the english version of the Greek "Iesous," which is merely a Greek version of the Hebrew "Ieshua," which in english is also known as Joshua, or in slang vernacular, "Josh." Now, which should we use?
3 | Matthew talked about JC as a Jew - why? | NT general Archive 1 | Mommapbs | 108778
You asked "Now, which should we use?" Since English IS the language used on the Forum, how about calling Him The Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1 et al!). You stated, "Jesus wasn't even His real name." Well, again the language we are communicating in here is English and according to Mt 1:21, the angel told Joseph, "you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins." If Jesus wasn't His name, what are YOU suggesting is was? Please back up your answers with Scripture. |
