Hi Sam, am I missing something here. I mean are we to look to God for our healing or to man? Does it matter if God uses Benny Hinn (I only use his name here because its posted), or let's say, 2nd Samuel 22:29, for healing. I don't believe Benny or anyone for that matter, can heal a flea :), only God. Your last statement (Rev.13:14), Do you think Benny is encouraging people to make an image to the beast? My line of thought here is (remember I'm not siding w/Benny) can we make statements, or is it even safe to proclaim a person to be a false prophet? "Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God" 1John 4:2. I have listened to Benny Hinn, and he has confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior. I would really like to know what is behind the scenes here concerning Benny Hinn, If this will cause any strife or bitterness, I'll understand if you don't reply, ok. Thank you Sam, God Blessings |

Greetings, inmyheart! First of all, let me just say that I am NOT implying that Benny Hinn is the Antichrist, or even the false prophet. And as far as his faith, and love of God, I will not question those, for it is not my place(Mat.7:1-2). And yes, ONLY God heals, on His time. Nobody gets slapped on the head and jumps up out of a wheelchair. But through faith and prayer, He will heal. That said, I will make this point: Some people think as long as the Gospel is heard, that is enough, no matter how it is presented. Mostly, they base this thought on Philippians 1:18--"What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice. Yes, and I will rejoice,". What Paul talks about here, in a nutshell, is those who preach for the money. So long as the TRUTH is being preached, we need not look to the person's motives. We need to remember, however, what he says, about those who pervert the Word, in Romans 16:18--"For such men are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting." In other words, teaching false doctrine(such as baptism for the dead[see I Cor15:29]). Now, the point in preaching is not only to speak the word of God, but to teach those listening what it means, as it says in Ephesians 4:12--"for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;". If a pastor sends his people out without properly equipping them, then when they are questioned on what they believe(I Peter 3:15), and they do not have the true knowledge of the Word, then the Body suffers. I know this may be a bit long-winded, but I wanted to make my point as thoroughly as possible. And neither do I wish to cause dissension, remembering that our salvation lies not in doctrine, but in Grace, and Faith. May God bless you and keep you. 2nd Samuel 22:3-4 |

Sam, Once again thank you for your response. You say nobody gets slapped on the head and jumps out of a wheelchair, then what is the proper way? I'm saying that when Jesus healed the blind man by putting mud on his eyes, well that sounds a little strange to me, how about you? Or when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead by calling out his name, why didn't He simply go in and grab hold of Lazarus? You see these are somethings that I look at. When the Word say that Gods way are Higher than ours, I look at it,that there is somethings we will never understand, so if a person gets slapped on the head :) or gently gets raised from that chair, what difference does it make, God gets the Glory! Now about the money issue, sure I agree, what is money to God anyway! The saints sent money to Paul also, and he didn't have a T.V. program :) Our finances should go to our local church or fellowship, if people want to send their money to God's people on T.V. as an offering of their love then I see no harm thank my friend Sam, May God continue to use you for His Glory! |
