Hello Jim I signed up for one module (a semester's worth), turned in one assignment, and quit. I was never comfortable with the program either. I knew going in that their accreditation was worthless in the U.S., but I was looking for the knowledge rather than prep for a graduate degree. If you want an unaccredited education, go ahead, or check out Columbia Evangelical Seminary (http://www.columbiaseminary.edu/) which is somewhat unique in that they require all their instructors to have graduate degrees in a regionally accredited colleges. Dear Steve - Thanks for the reply. Did you quit because of the quality of the material, or the accreditation? Did you end up using Columbia? It does look like an interesting school, although it seems a bit more unstructured than I would like. Jim D. |

Hello Jim The class material was odd. For OT Synthesis there was a textbook written by Thomas R. Rodgers (past president of Trinity) which had some useful information, and the accompanying cassette lectures were just Dr Rodgers reading the book. There were two accompanying books: 1) Where Is History Going? by John W Montgomery. This was confusing and certainly unnecessary for the class. 2) Another book of "Biblical archeology" that questioned the veracity of anything written in Scripture. It gave good archeological information, but I couldn't abide calling Scripture, "myth". I just gave up on looking at anything else. Steve |
