Greetings Moedee! I assume from your questions that you are attempting to set up a no win situation - either yes or not would be wrong. Correct me if I am wrong! :-) Allow me to take the "yes" response! Who said that anything happened between Gen. 1:1 and 1:2? Even if there were events which occurred between the two verses, inspiration doesn't mean that every possible detail of history is included in Scripture. It simply means that what is included is inspired by God and as such is without error. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

I Greek You in the name of Christ Jesus! "Study to show thyself approved of God, a WORKMAN that needeth not to be ashamed, Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth." 2 Tim. 2:15. This forum helps Gods people to do that. My question isn't trying to set no one up, I think any time you talk about Gods word there is a win - win situation because the devil is defeated. Now the WHO said something happen between Gen 1:1 and Gen 1:2 is God. "In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth" Gen. 1:1 "The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters" Gen. 1:2. That is was not originally so we know from Isa.45:18 Now the Prophet Jeremiah records a vision of the time Jer.4:23-26 So my question on Inspiration extension between the creation of the earth and it becoming "formless and void". I was seeking to understand a time when God account of the destruction of the Pre-Adamite Earth. So the latter part of your answer I would agree with inspiration doesn't mean that every detail in history is included in Scripture, but it was just a question seeking an answer for which I thought this forum was for. Greetings Moedee! No harm! :-) I was just curious as to why you choose Gen. 1:1 and 1:2 to discuss inspiration. I thought you might be wanting to really discuss the "pre-adam theory". I have written on this issue before. I think that there is no Scriptural evidence to support that there was a race of people living between Gen. 1:1 and 1:2. Here is part of what I wrote previously: ********************************************** "Look at Jer. 4:23-26: "I looked at the earth, and it was formless and empty; and at the heavens, and their light was gone. 24 I looked at the mountains, and they were quaking; all the hills were swaying. 25 I looked, and there were no people; every bird in the sky had flown away. 26 I looked, and the fruitful land was a desert; all its towns lay in ruins before the LORD, before his fierce anger." The questions that must be answered in looking at a passage like this are: 1) What is the context? 2) What is the time frame? 3) What cities are mentioned? The context of Jer. 4 is clear. The Babylonians are coming in from the north to attack Judah (Jer. 4:4-6). This attack is part of God's punishment for Judah's sin and rebellion. The time frame of Jer. 4:23-26 is the near future, not the distant past. The cities mentioned in Jer. 4:26 refer to the cities of Judah, not ancient Demon cities. Jer. 4:23-26 is simply a passage (in an apocalyptic style) describing the near future destruction of Judah by the Babylonians." ******************************************** Thanks for the response!
