Hi, I understand the convincing evidence Nolan. But isn't it dangerous to use something questionable to bring people to Christ? When ministers use this tool to evangelize, they are risking their future credibility if it becomes proven that it is not the real shroud. I'm not disputing the current evidence. But when scripture isn't enough what does that say about us? I'm not criticizing you for beliveing it's real, just concerned about those who rest on it like "more proof". We don't need more proof! Thanks for your reply. God be with you Dan |

Greetings Dalprad! I never said that we should use the Shroud to bring people to Christ.. :-) In fact, I most certainly disagree with this! We should bring people to Christ by using the Bible and Scripture, not by using the Shroud of Turin. I agree with you, ministers are risking their credibility by basing their efforts on the authenticity of the Shroud. I believe that the Shroud in no way should influence our current and Bible-based efforts in winning souls for Christ! We will have much more success at evangelizing with the Bible and with prayer than we will by convincing people that the Shroud of Turin is authentic. To do so (witness with the evidence of the Shroud) is dangerous and completely unfounded. This is idolatry! We should have ALL of our efforts focused on the Bible and prayer when we witness to others for Jesus, and nothing else. Blessings to you my friend! Nolan |
