1 | Is the first resurection in Mat 27:52 | Rev 20:5 | Brian K. Norton | 33827
Does the first resurection refer to the resurection promised to Daniel (Dan 12:13) and also to the events of Matthew 27:52? Could these events all be related?

dear friend...let me share with you a most revealing secret...and let me tell you. try to display the attitude of moses on this one.Moses saw a burning bush(not a common everyday occurance)said i will step aside to see the great sight.I advise you to read get a good dictionary and look up the word "aside".It will say to put away one's trained learning or bascially what you were taught or believe. Now just do that for a minute.Just put aside what you were taught.Read John 10:17..especially the last word.Read again...it says again! The word again is there. What does again mean to you?right it had to have happen before. If i go back to the store again it means i had to have been there before.See the correlation? Now answer your own question who really was the first resurrection?if you have more question maybe i can help!thanks

Wait a second. It is an interesting theological "aside", but let's get back to the issue. If we want to make too much out of the word again, let's take it in the context of John 10:17. Christ, who had taken "life" (John 1 - the word became flesh), laid his life down. When He rose, he took life again. When Revelation says "This is the first resurrection", it speaks of those who came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. (Rev 20:4). |
