Hi Steve: I covered your main question already. Romans 10:14 is a quote from Psalms, and that the voice was heard from the beginning, and word went out into the entire world long before the gospel was in place, and so this passage does not mean what you think it means. Your point "someone to share the gospel is a requirement for hearing. The voice and word is not "someone" speaking Read the Psalm again and see if it is not the evidence of God's creation that gives voice that God is, and gives word that God is. Hello Henry and Emmy, You are taking the verses one by one instead of looking at the whole. What purpose does the quoted verse have? In the context of Romans 9-11, Paul is arguing that the Jews are without an excuse because God's word has gone out to them. This does not take away from the fact that: Romans 10:17 (ESV) So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. It's not through creation or anything else. Steve |
