1 | Greek word for ripe versus verse 18 | Rev 14:15 | Kento | 215698
Can anyone tell me what (if any) significance there is in the fact the the greek word for ripe (xeraino) in verse 15 means to dry up (some translatiosn use over ripe) while in verse 18 the greek word is akmazo which means "to be at the prime"? Thanks Kent |

2 | Greek word for ripe versus verse 18 | Rev 14:15 | Searcher56 | 215704
God's day to you, Kent, The first harvest (Rev 14:15-16) may be wheat, which when harvested is dry, while the second (Rev 14:17-20) is grapes. This will allow the first to be the gathering of the faithful. There is not any mention of the great wine press of the wrath of Godand blood. The other choice would like the withered (xeraino) crop on stony ground (Mar 4:6), fig tree (Mar 11:20-21) and grass (Jas 1:11). Searcher |
