1 | Are all sins the same to God? | James 2:10 | lionheart | 177613
Mark, Good morning brother,Well it's still morning here for another two hours. This is a subject that has seemed to come up with some frequency in my own studies this week. I dont know anyone who likes to deal with sin ,but deal with it we must. We all need to come to a point in our lives that we absolutely despise our sin and are willing to get open about it and repent. I've been studying out faith and affliction for an article I'm writting and I came across this passage in Job 11:13-19 While Job's friends may have been little more than critical pharisees but this passege of scripture carries much wisdom and sound advice for us today. Nothing good ever comes of unresolved or undealt with sin. Your right we cant be minimalizing our sin. In Christ, lionheart |

2 | Are all sins the same to God? | James 2:10 | mark d seyler | 177614
Hi Lionheart, I like how verse 18 hints at the effects of unresolved sin in our lives: Job 11:18 "Then you would trust, because there is hope; And you would look around and rest securely. When we harbor sin, we are not living the life of faith, and we are not trusting God the same as when we are right with Him. We don't have, or at least I don't have the feeling of safety and security, because I know that until I get right with God I may be disciplined by Him. Even so, I can trust God to do what is best for me, but its more preferable to learn the easy way than the hard way - speaking from experience! I know that even if we do minimize our sin, God doesn't! Love in Christ, Mark |
