2 | jesus born prior to earth? | Heb 13:8 | Makarios | 35784
The Son has the 'rights' of what a 'firstborn' Son would have: He has the rights of a firstborn. However, He Himself was NEVER created. Colossians 1:15-18 does NOT say that Jesus Christ was created. It says that THROUGH Jesus, all things were created! That doesn't mean that Jesus was created. That means that Jesus had a part in the creation of all things! ANY view that states that Jesus Christ was a created being is preaching a 'different gospel' and therefore heretical. The whole basis of the Christian faith is built upon the fact that Jesus Christ was God Himself! Perhaps everyone should go back and read John 1:1-3, John 1:14-18, John 20:28, Phil. 2:5-8, Hebrews 1:8-9, 13:8, Revelation 1:17-18. And I have many sources to back me up, not to mention the Bible itself. - Makarios |

3 | jesus born prior to earth? | Heb 13:8 | Hank | 35785
Makarios, one extra-biblical source that strongly attests to the divinity of Christ is the centuries-old Nicene Creed. When this creed was being hammered out, great care was taken to emphasize the divine nature of our Lord Jesus. Words like "very God of very God" and "not made" (i.e., not created) were carefully chosen in order to make it clear precisely who Jesus is. --Hank
4 | jesus born prior to earth? | Heb 13:8 | Makarios | 35795
Thank you Hank! I am both concerned and discouraged that we continually find ourselves having to defend Christ's Deity on a so-called "BIBLE" Forum.. Thank you for your support, my friend! - Makarios |

5 | jesus born prior to earth? | Heb 13:8 | Hank | 35797
Makarios, I too am equally concerned and discouraged -- and would add perplexed -- that it should be necessary continually to defend the deity of Jesus Christ on a forum like this. To attempt to strip Jesus Christ of His deity is to attack the very core belief of Christianity. It is more than heresy; it is utter blasphemy. --Hank
