1 | jesus born prior to earth? | Heb 13:8 | Hank | 35507
"Although John 1:1 is verbally parallel with Genesis 1:1 and 1 John 1:1, the contents assign temporal differences. Whereas Gen.1:1 speaks of the beginning of creation and 1 John 1:1 emphasizes the incarnate manifestation of God in Christ, John in this verse establishes the PRE-EXISTENCE (caps mine) of Christ in eternity past." --Believer's Study Bible (Thomas Nelson). "Pre-existence" may not be your word of choice, but you fail to convince me that I erred in using it in the context under consideration. So, herewith I rest my case. --Hank

Your reference of pre-existence is not misusing the term the way I have articulated a serious concern about. I have re-read what I wrote and I think you're missing my intent and you can't show me where I have told you you are erring in using the term pre-existence. So, you may need to re-read what I have written before you attempt to say I believe you have erred. Why don't you instead try to summarize what was the intent of my postings (using you own words) regarding the meaning of the "pre-existence" Christ.
