Although I appreciate your attempt at trying to answer my question, I would have to say that I am very disheartened to hear such a comment at the end. Don't you think it is high time for we, as christians, to stand firm in the teachings of the Bible? God, our spiritual leader using a christian as a mouthpiece to help impact our society for changes based on biblical principals. I am certain that since God created the heavens and the earth, He can certainly turn this United States around. We should stand together in support of a God loving President that isn't afraid to speak of his faith. God Bless a Godly man for speaking Gods word and using these values as basis for impacting America. | ||||||

Hi, tannerman... Even a godly, Christian president won't save the people of the United States. Passing laws to prevent immorality won't save the people of the United States. Changing society such that it is "based on biblical principals" won't save the people of the United States. All of that is rooted in legalism. Lost people are dead in their sins, not sick or misinformed. You can dress up a corpse in a nice suit, but its still a corpse. In Christ's day the people thought that the greatest evils in the world were hunger, pestilence, and foreign occupation. Christ was crucified for His insistence that the greatest evil was from within the human heart. Today we say the greatest evils in the world are abortion, homosexuality, terrorism, Godless humanism, etc. We are offended, still, with Christ's teaching, faulting evil in everything, except our own hearts. "For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?" (1 Peter 4:17 ESV) In Him, Doc |
