Hi Tan Flipper, Emmaus started us on the right track. I was looking at some of the Scripture verses concerning "of the world". I looked at 1 Corinthians 2:12ff and considered how 1 Corinthians 3:9 related to Doctrinsograce's idea of being in the marketplace (being God's fellow workers in the world); while realizing also that we are God's field, God's building. 1 Corinthians 3:16, "Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" I believe that the Spirit of God dwells in us as believers; for I believe that Christ is in us. However, I wonder about the things that we have received. Have we received spiritual thoughts and spiritual words from the world or from the Spirit? 1 Corinthians 2:10, "For to us God revealed them through the Spirit, for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God." From the heart, Ray |
