1 | Christ 'made Himself nothing'? | Phil 2:6 | srprimeaux | 71081
The phrase "made Himself nothing" is lit. "emptied Himself." He did this, not by giving up deity, but laying aside His glory (see 2 Cor. 8:9). Jesus is truly God and truly man. Another view is that He emptied Himself, not of deity itself, but of its perogatives--the high position and glory of deity.
2 | Christ 'made Himself nothing'? | Phil 2:6 | Makarios | 71225
