As a NT church, new Christian is it that a tithe equals 10 percent of your gross or net income? I am confused on this issue. Could you please provide me with some scripture to help me with the whole plan of tithes. | ||||||

emt2001 There is no NEW TESTAMENT requirement for you to tithe. So don't let anyone put that bondage back on you! However, if you choose to use the the tithe as what you feel you should give, only you can decide if it should be on the Gross or Net. In my giving, I use 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 as my guide. It says, "But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
