2 | We groan for our new body | 2 Cor 5:4 | mark d seyler | 148593 | ||
Searcher, Doesn't this verse say that we presently groan, desiring to be clothed with our immortal body, not that we will be groaning at some time in the future? And not that we would put off our immortal body, to put on our immortal body at some later time, but that we would put our immortal body upon our mortal body? 1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory." Love in Christ, Mark |
