Amatia, wlecome to the forum. Steve is right, the answer is "no" to both questions. The unbeliever must file and go all the way through. There is always hope that the marriage will be restored and more important, that the unbeliever becomes a believer. Only after the divorce can the believer remarry, they should not even be considering it until then. As I have said before, there are people who will say it is okay for the believer to take the divorce action and more ... but, I don't see God saying that. Searcher |
