I have heard many bible scholars discuss this issue. If you will note that in these passages Paul is addressing WIVES. In that time women were not educated and would interrupt the services asking questions. Paul gives instruction to wives to keep quiet in church and wait until a later time to open thier mouths with questions, please note the following scripture, Paul talks about a female servant in the church. She is just one of the women that Paul speaks of. Romans 16:1 I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a servant[ 16:1 Or deaconess] of the church in Cenchrea. (Whole Chapter: Romans 16 In context: Romans 16:1-2) Biblegate NIV There is so much to what God has to offer ALL his children. Satan will take scripture and twist it to try and keep one God's most awesome tools, silent in teaching God's word. There is so much to learning the Scripture.. there is also so much responsibility in teaching it accurately. God BLess you! |
