Hi Edwin, Heb 1:3 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. Since Jesus is the image of the Father, we can think of the Father as Prime, and the Son as the Expression of the Father. Therefore, how the Father is determines how the Son is. In this way, the Son is subservient to the Father. Who Jesus is, what He does, is dictated by Who the Father is, and what He does. Since the Son is the full and complete image, or expression of the Father, He is as fully God as the Father is. I would like to recommend to you an essay by Jonathan Edwards, which I downloaded from www.e-sword.net, called "An Unpublished Essay on the Trinity". I am only on my 7th or 8th reading of this article, and I am beginning to understand what Edwards had to say - it's some deep stuff, but I think he has some very useful material. I hope this helps! Love in Christ, Mark |

Thank you Mark. I will read the material you recommend, and no doubt respond in due course. I have misplaced your e-mail address, perhaps you would be kind enough to let me have it again. Mine is pabrain@indent.co.uk. Every blessing. Edwin. |
