Steve: Blessings in the name of Jesus Christ! I think perhaps if you go back and re-read all of the threads connected to my initial question you will see that what we are talking about here is not being literally a "lone ranger" as in the television show. We are talking about how there are souls on earth who do the express will of the Father in such a way that others do not know how to "think" about their calling. Rather un-orthodox is about the best way to say it. Meaning for example in my case, I was called at a very early age to be a minister. It was not my choice. I probably would have been happy just playing with my dolls or taking ballet classes. Many souls on earth have similar experiences of being called to do things for the Father because basically HE NEEDS THEM to do a certain thing to bring about His Kingdom. Like I said it HAS NOTHING to do with any personal greatness in "them" or me but rather it is that God has access to their hearts and they listen and obey. It means that He needs them because of HIS NEEDS. It does not mean that that person lives on an island necessarily and isn't in communion with others. It is just that God has an express purpose for them outside the formal church. I am in NO way a recluse. I am actively serving the dying, the homeless, the lost youth and others will FULL accountability. So being a "lone ranger" is not a biblical term but rather one someone else used to express how they see these souls. I hope you are following my thoughts here. If not, I am happy to elaborate more. We are all called into one body but each part functions differently. Maybe I am a vessel in the heart or maybe I am some other part of the body of Christ but I am nevertheless vitally joined into Him who loves me. Perhaps a better visual for you would be to think in terms of this: (as an analogy) While you are in church on Sunday I could be called out instead to go into a poor neighborhood and feed some hungry children. Which of us is more Godly? Neither of us is MORE godly. We are just called to a different function. It is really God in control anyway. I have always "colored outside the lines" according to my calling with God. We, as Christians who love the Lord, are all called according to HIS purposes...not our own. It would be much more comfortable for me to sit in a pew but that is NOT what the Lord wants me doing. I am thankful for my part in fulfilling the Lord's work. It is a simple love affair of the heart. God bless. I hope that this answers your question.. | ||||||

My dear sister: I admire your zeal and your heart. But I would encourage you that we have to find our place, in the kingdom, with the church. Please do not misunderstand. Many of us have experienced the struggle you went through. We are a part of the church in a day when hardly anything is the way it should be. But the Lord does not call us to step outside the church. We have to work with them. The church can send us out. But we can not walk away from it and say we are in ministry for God. Notice I say "it", because the Bible recognizes only one church. We have to find a way to work with it. For those who chafe at the idea, I have found I can only recommend that we take Joshua and Caleb as our examples. They wholly followed the Lord (Num 32:12) and they found they did not have to leave to do that. Look at your own post. Look at the changes from "we", "our", and "us" to "I", "me", and "my". I have a feelings, a calling, and a ministry, but we must work together. |
