Well we must not try and take one line of scriputer out and try to analyze it alone. It must be taken in context with the rest of the text. Paul was speaking of the Christians concerning judging and or condeming one another for their belief in what is clean or unclean. For this we will have to give an answer to the Lord, for if we love someone and he beleaves that a certain thing dishonors God, how can we judge him. As Paul also states in the save chapter of Rom in verses 2-4 2 One person has faith that he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats vegetables only. 3 The one who eats is not to regard with contempt the one who does not eat, and the one who does not eat is not to judge the one who eats, for God has accepted him. 4 Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand. God would want to know how you and I condemned someone who is not ours to condemn for this we will have to give an account of ourselves for. |
