2 | Did Stephen see the Father? | Acts 7:55 | stjohn | 195325
Dear Cheri, I think our Brother Doc was just pointing out, that, we all, have a tendency to put God in a box. And, giving some very good advice that we all should take to heart. We all need to come to that place where we see that we are truly vile and unworthy in the sight of our God. This is what will bring us to the Cross of Christ, only then, can we truly begin to grow. Cheri a brother said to me the other day something that I think may apply here, and I am not quoting, just paraphrasing, he said, John, I don't come to you as older, wiser, or more pious, but I come alongside, as a brother, pointing to Him. God bless John |

3 | Did Stephen see the Father? | Acts 7:55 | skccab | 195326
Shalom sweet brother, I probably shouldn't have said "little box" but I was picturing Him bursting out of the "littleness" my own mind had been keeping Him in. I don't know, maybe so that I could comprehend Him. But He's too big, He's incomprehensible! If I want to grow, I have to let Him be the Awesome God that He is. I can't apprehend Him but He can apprehend me! Am I making sense, or not being clear again? See, I wasn't putting Doc down, he's a dear. I just sometimes can't say in black and white words what's in my heart and get misunderstood. But that's ok. Thank you for helping me see this. :-) learning and loving it Cheri |
