1 | Should I or should I not? | Acts 20:35 | seeking2 | 83370
Hi, I have something in my heart that I hope to receive some answers. You see, some weeks ago, I prayed and asked the Lord to cause someone who borrowed some money from me 2 years ago to return the money to me. I said if she returns the money to me on that particular Sunday I would like to give the money to one brother in Christ. But it didn't happen on that Sunday. However, the lady did eventually return the money some weeks later. I am now left with this question in my heart. Should I still give the money to this brother, even tho I now have other needs that the money returned would help? I sincerely hope to do the right thing. Would appreciate to receive your advice. Sincerely. |

I don't think a human can give you the answer you seek. You have to do what is in your heart to do. Ask God what He wants you to do. Because, here, you will get many answers, but only you will be able to get the correct answer from God. |

I also believe you should do what is in your heart although, I have something to add. If you felt the need to give to your other brother in Christ then you should give to him regardless of circumstances, it seems to me you put a fleece before God, not so much testing him, I guess but a if you do this for me I will do that for you kind of deal. That is why you are left with questions. If you felt strongly about giving to someone else, go with your instincts and give. Then you should have prayed for the money to be returned/your friend to feel convicted, they should have been two seperate issues. In either case it does sound like the best remedy at all times is prayer. And God will provide for you and your brother in Christ.
