A further explanation to my question... "unto Him". The King James Version includes this. However, the Young's Literal Translation does not. From what I've read, Young used the same manuscripts as the King James Translators. Is "unto Him" in the orginal manuscripts or not. This, to me, makes a big difference in understanding this verse. | ||||||

Dear Shamrock, These might also help: For [He] whom God sent speaks the sayings of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. (John 3:34 ALT) For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for he does not give the Spirit sparingly. (John 3:34 NET) For the One whom God sent speaks the Words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. (John 3:34 LITV) For he whom God has sent utters the words of God, for he gives the Spirit without measure. (John 3:34 ESV) The words of God never came into this world without this specific work of the Holy Spirit which the Bible calls inspiration (2 Timothy 3:16). The Holy Spirit is the hallmark of those who penned Scripture. Christ Himself spoke under the auspices and by the power of the Spirit of God (John 3:32; 7:16; 8:40; 15:15; 17:8).
