The two most frequent Greek words in the NT that we translate as "love" are agape and phileo. See Strongs 25 and 26 for agape and 5368 for phileo. Agape is a total and sacrificial kind of love. Phileo is a strong affection. In Greek there is also a word eros that refers to the sexual affection. | ||||||
