1 | He wept not for their grief | John 11:35 | Makarios | 157868
Greetings Mommapbs, If we examine the Bible, we read that Jesus is possibly in fear in the Garden of Gethsemane, but I will need Scripture references to read it in any other circumstance. Blessings, Makarios |

2 | He wept not for their grief | John 11:35 | Mommapbs | 157880
I was referring to your post - just as in His anger in the temple, Jesus did not sin, likewize in His experience with human "fear" in the Garden , He did not sin either for His faith triumphed (not My will but Thy will). I suspect we can see faith in action here . . ."perfect love casting out fear" comes to mind. Contrast this to Peter walking on the water. Don't you think that he too was fearful of getting out of the boat? Was this fear sin? No, for his response (at first) was faith. Here's where I get reverential trust and fear tied together. This is the fear of the Lord - it is a good fear. It glorifies God when we choose to trust Him, this "fear of the Lord" - meaning where would I be without Him? - triumphs over all. Well that's what I'm thinking about. Hope I've not muddied the exegesical (sp?) waters too much. In Christ, mommapbs |
