He does tell us who He is and makes it plain is what i have seen. That any thought i may have can not question it when He makes it so clear? This is a example of what He says to a lifelong belief i held to my whole life, i had never seen or been told before. The belief, that Jesus was the Creator, that he was the one who made all things. i believed this to be true with everything within me. Then i see the Lord say,Isa.43 11 and understand that I am He, before Me no god was formed and after Me none shall be. (Why He says of Himself I am 1st and last, and there would be none after Me?) Isa.44 6 So said the Lord, the King of Israel and his(the prophet or David His appointed king?) Redeemer the Lord of Hosts, I am first and I am last, and besides Me there is no God. (As i ask myself but youre 3? As i continue to refuse what He states of Himself?) Isa.44 24 So said the Lord, your Redeemer, and the One Who formed you from the womb, I am the Lord Who makes everything, Who stretched forth the heavens alone, Who spread out the earth from My power. (Oh boy! Now He's claiming that what i have been taught isn't right? My belief as everyone i know claims as the only truth, that Jesus did this thing, my Lord says He did this thing alone? So can i continue to make this claim, knowing the Lord made this claim Himself?) Isa.45 18 For so said the Lord, the Creator of heaven, Who is God, Who formed the earth and made it, He established it. He did not create it for a waste, He formed it to be inhabited, I am the Lord and there is no other. (One thing of this proof verse of creation i have heard used, is that no one ever mentions the end of this verse, or what He says once again and what He says here as well? That He is the Lord and there is no other?) Neh.9 6 You alone are the Lord, You made the heavens, the heavens of the heavens and all their host, the earth and all that is upon it, the seas and all that is in them, and You give life to them all, and the heavenly host bow down before You. What He says about Himself here, or not? |

Was trying to share the thoughts i had as i was looking into this. i have a few examples of what i did with His word as i would read it. That i would just change it to fit my belief. 1Sam.2 2 There is none as holy as the Lord, For there is none besides You. And there is no rock like our God. Deut.32 39 See now that it is I! I am the One, and there is no god like Me! I cause death and grant life. I strike, but I heal, and no one can rescue from My Hand! Deut.4 35 You have been shown, in order to know that the Lord He is God, there is none else besides Him. 1 Chron.17 21 And who is like Your people Israel, one nation in the world, whom God went to redeem for Himself as a people, to make You a name of great and fearful things, to drive nations from before Your people, whom You redeemed from Egypt. (Boy! Can these guys ever get it right in the word of God? Now i have to just try to change the word of God and what it says to make it fit my belief. i have to go through another verse and change Himself in the singular to Us? Then i have to go fix this You, change this to You guys maybe? Ok then the last You we ll make They maybe? Just follow that belief with the other 2 places that you a singular and change them to all us gods? How about Jesus, well maybe we can just think that?) 1 Chron.17 20 O Lord, there is none like You, and there is no god besides You according to all that we have heard with our ears. (So this person states what God has repeatedly said unto us, saying that this is according to all they heard with their ears from Him?)One i have wrestled with to have peace within. i didnt have that with alot of His word before. i always had questions, things i wasnt sure of on my belief, if it was right and agreed with the whole council of His word. This helped alot, that all, and thanks for the reply, Dave |

Greetings Wings on Fire! Without really knowing you, it seems from your posts that you are confused about what the Doctrine of the Trinity is really all about. Here is a link that might help: http://www.gotquestions.org/Trinity-Bible.html The short version is this: 1) The Bible is clear that there is only One God, not two or three. 2) The Bible is also clear that three distinct Persons are all called God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Therefore, the Doctrine of the Trinity is saying that there are three distinct Person (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) who make up this One God. So, there is no problem with the New Testament saying the Jesus created everything and the Old Testament saying that God created everything, since Jesus is God. Read the short article above and see if it clarifies your understanding of the Trinity any. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
