Hello San Lukas, Pat particular attention to verse 30. John 10:25-30 25 Jesus answered them, "I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father's name bear witness about me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not part of my flock. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. 30 I and the Father are one ." ESV Hope that helps, Jeff |

Jeff, In a straight answer are you saying that Jesus is the Father? I read the following verses what can you say about them? Gen 17:7 “And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.” Gal 3:28 “ There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free… for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Heb 9:16 “For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.” 1 Tim 3:16 KJV “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit…” Phi 2:6 “Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” Isa 43:11 “I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.” Luke 1:46 “And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. Luke 2:11 “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” John 10:30 “I and my Father are one.” 1 John 3:16 KJV “Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us…” 1 John 5:20 “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.” |

Hello San Lukas, With all due respect friend, I believed my original answer was a "straight" answer. Too often some are not satisfied with a direct answer from Scripture unless the responder offers a lot of "interpretation" or thought on it. It's not important that I say that Jesus and the Father God are one. What did Jesus say? He said: "I and the Father are one". If you type the word Trinity in the search box you will find a lot of information regarding the Scriptural doctrine of the Trinity. As for the long list of verses you quoted let me offer this. I don't find the value in plucking verses spontaneously from various books and do not know of any serious bible student or scholar who recommends that type approach to bible study. Furthermore, it certainly is not an efficient nor an effective use of the Forum space. None of what I have written is meant to be short and I am not unconcerned about your questions. My encouragement though is that you focus your studies in a way that is logical and focused so that your time will be more productive. You might start over at this point by asking a question about a specific teaching and or meaning of a passage. God bless, Jeff |

God is giving us guide on how to get his message in: Isa 28:10 KJV “For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little.” Who shall we trust Bible scholars or God himself??? |

Hi, San Lucas... You wouldn't want to reject a gift that God has given you! Therefore, use the Bible scholars as the gift that God intended (Ephesians 4:11). God even tells us WHY He gave us the Bible scholars. So that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. (Ephesians 4:14 ESV) Consequently, if you reject His gift, you may remain a child, tossed about from one position to the next, etc. Children reject Biblical scholarship out of ignorance. Others do so because they have an agenda (1 Peter 2:8; 2 Peter 3:15-16; Jude 4). In Him, Doc |
