1 | Why did this man need a second touch ? | Mark 8:25 | BradK | 158143 | ||
Hi Mark, By your logic, i.e. hermenuetic, would we not also expect to understand scripture by picking up deadly serpents, drinking deadly poison, and laying hands on the sick that they would recover? ( Mark 16:18 paraphrased). I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but I question your logic of proof-texting! You can't simply pluck a scripture out of it's context (Matt. 10:22) to establish a doctrine. I trust you'd agree that we must approach scripture with care and respect, and that, further, we need to properly understand the context. Would you agree? For example, in John 2 Christ changes water to wine. Since He is our example, should we not too be able to do this? Does your church practice changing water into wine? I would welcome your input on these thoughts:-) Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |

Don't you believe in divine healing? I have seen many miracles performed, but the need to turn water into wine has never arisen. In the future, please make you comment in the right place, this place is for Mark 8:25 not 10:22. |
