2 | Is the desire to be rich a sin ? | Matt 6:24 | jingle | 130024 | ||
It is good to view it in fourth person view. Jesus was teaching and a lady put in two mites into the treasury. Also in one instance Jesus was in the process of sending the multitudes away when the disciples were asking where they were going to get more money from so they could all eat, He said You feed them. In keeping within the context of your question, as you can see the disciples had money, and they collected money. Jesus said to seek the Kingdom of God first and all these things will be added unto you. If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you can ask what you will and it will be done unto you. Joseph was a carpenter, I don't think He was poor, or what would be considered poor back then. Natural self preservation instincts is where your question stems from. Or am I wrong here? ie Jesus served the Father first, the money came along. ref. Peter and the Fish. As for the love of money. It's just that, do not love money. Love God the Father instead first above all. Money is just an ends to a means, a need, or a want. Small example: I run a web design business, my printer poop out on me. 6 months later after continually borrowing my brothers printer, a lady where my wife works, gave my wife a photo printer. She said she was led by the Lord to do it. So she did it. And now her business is flurishing, mine is flurishing, and my wife is flurishing, as well as my brothers. Somestimes money does not necessarrily come in the form of a paycheck or cashola. Praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever. p.s. I'm talking to you, so get ready to go, and no matter what you do, never let go of Jesus. No matter what. jamesingle.com |
