2 | Reincarnation, Who will be saved ? | Matt 10:16 | srbaegon | 61261 | ||
Hello MYR Sir Pent was being cautious. We have had many come to this Forum seeking to destroy. We will be happy to answer any honest questions. Now to those questions: "1. Is there any mention of reincarnation in the Original Bible ? My readings tell me that there was and it was removed from the bible so that Christians believe in one life and one Judgement." Your readings are invalid. Reincarnation was never there. Textual criticism is outside my expertise, but I know that there are a number of copies of the NT text written closely to the time of the apostles which would make the removal of reincarnation almost impossible to accomplish. "2. did Jesus have brothers and sisters. there was a clear mention in the bible of his brothers and sisters and it is customery in those days for Jews to have big families. Would this dimention the fact that the Virgin Mary Was a virgin when she conceived Jesus." The Lord Jesus having brothers and sisters doesn't diminish the Virgin Birth at all. It proves He was like any other person--having a family. It shows there was nothing unique about Mary that was somehow different from any other mother, thus confirming that Jesus was indeed truly human. Nothing special had to happen to Mary to have this birth, except what the Holy Spirit did in creating the pregnancy. "3. What is the destiny of those who don't believe in Jesu ? Nomads in the deserts, aboriginies, primitive tribes in Africa and Brazil who have never been exposed to christian teaching." They die in their sins. Romans 10:13,17 (ESV) For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."...So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. "4. Are Christian Scientists, Mormons, Christian Spiritists christians even though they may have a different book than the bible ?" No, they preach another gospel and do not put their faith on the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ. "5. why are the Jews not believing in christ though he came from them and all there profits told them about him : Moses, Isia, David etc..." It is so that the gospel can go to the Gentiles (the outermost parts of the earth). Romans 11:7-8 (ESV) What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest were hardened, [8] as it is written, "God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear, down to this very day." Romans 11:30-31 (ESV) Just as you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience, [31] so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now receive mercy. Support (mostly) ............................................. Dear MYR, I would agree with almost everything that Steve said. The only thing that I would clarify would be than I am not convinced that every aboriginies, primitive tribes, etc. will die in their sins. Steve is correct that those who reject God will, but I believe that it is possible to learn about God even through the nature that is around us. Rom 1:19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. Rom 1:20 Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse; |
