1 | Is it God's will to tithe in pres. time? | Mal 3:8 | Appleseed | 22602 | ||
Nolan, I extracted this from a book, what do you think? Give your tithes to God. God said, “You have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me.” (Mal. 3:8-9). Don’t steal from God! If you steal from God, He will remove His blessing from you. This will result in the world controlling your path. If the world controls your path then satan controls your path (Eph. 2:2; 1 John 5:19). When satan controls your path then you will be cursed (Mal. 3:11). And when you are cursed, then everything that you do will go wrong. And when you are blessed, then everything that you do will go right. For “the blessing of the LORD makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.” (Prov. 10:22). When we give to God what we owe Him, He will assign angels to protect our fruit. It is like paying for bodyguards in the spiritual realm (Ex. 23:19-23). If we don’t tithe and give our first fruit to God, then the angels will not protect our fruit and us. Why? Because we are stealing from God, thereby making our money an Idol. If we could see into the spiritual realm, we would see an enormous amount of spiritual contact that is made with our fruit and us. Demons will like nothing more than find you and your fruit unprotected (1 Peter 5:8). So tithe! What is tithing? Tithing is giving the first tenth of your profit, your fruit, to God (2 Chr. 31:5; Gen. 14:20; Gen. 28:22; Lev. 27:32-33; Deut. 14:22). God is a God of precision, so it is the first tenth of your profits, not your second or your third tenth. You shouldn’t start paying your bills until you have given the tithe to God. “All the best of the oil, all the best of the new wine and the grain, their firstfruits which they offer to the LORD.” (Num. 18:12). What would you say is the best part of your profit? The first portion, because it is the root of the rest. It is the starting point. Would you feel more honored if someone gave you the fruit before or after they started eating it? Obviously before, because they thought of you before they thought of themselves. So give your best portion to God, that is, the first tenth. And when you give to God, do not ask for it back or try to exchange it, “for it is holy to the LORD.” (Ezek. 48:14). |

Greetings Appleseed! I thank you for consulting my view on the 'book excerpt' that you have quoted! I will share with you my true reaction to it. I read through that 'book excerpt' and have come to the following conclusion: You should not believe any part of it. None of the conclusions that are mentioned in this 'book excerpt' are based on Scripture, and the Scripture that is quoted has been 'mis-quoted' and used to fit the author's theories, rather than studying the cited Scripture within its context. There is nothing within the whole of Scripture that can support the claims that have been written by the author of this book. I thank you for asking my view on the book, and I have truthfully spoken to you my reaction to part of that book that you have decided to share with me. Thank you, and I look forward to future correspondence with you! Blessings, Nolan |
